Why Remangdore in Seorae Village when you have time before a bus

Remangdore Seorae Village Branch is a dessert café in Seorae Village, within walking distance of the Express Bus Terminal. I had taken an express bus to Gangnam and had to head back, and who gets to the bus terminal exactly on time, right..? So I had a lot of time to kill, went looking for a dessert café near the Express Bus Terminal, and found out Seorae Village is right next door!

So I figured I'd take it easy and look around Seorae Village too, searched for a great dessert spot, and ended up at today's café! Hahaha The mood is amazing for a short break, I'm telling you T_T

Remangdore Seorae Village Branch: location, hours, parking, restroom

• Location: 9-3 Sapyeong-daero 26-gil, Seocho-gu, Seoul, 1st floor (on a corner)
• Hours: 08:00-21:00 (daily)
• Parking: none, paid parking nearby (for takeout, you can stop briefly between the park and the café)
• Restroom: use the one in the outside building (the key is kept inside the café)

The café sits on a corner! There's no big sign, so if you see a white building, you're in the right place! I'm not from Seoul, so when I heard Seorae Village all I could think of was Park Myung-soo, lol. But the word itself gives off a certain mood, you know? Cozy and reassuring, I'd say?!

Is Remangdore Seorae Village Branch dog-friendly?

Dogs are allowed, but only fully vaccinated ones. Please keep that in mind when you visit :)

Remangdore menu: coffee beans, tea and madeleines

I loved that you can choose the flavor profile of your coffee~ The moment I walked in, the coffee aroma hit me really strongly! Just smelling it makes you crave coffee, T_T I knew right away it was a coffee place.

Besides coffee there are lots of other drinks, and the tea selection in particular seemed really varied.

And the star bakery item at this Seorae Village dessert spot is the madeleine! They even sell madeleine gift sets, and the madeleines are so pretty that they're hugely popular! (And come in lots of flavors.)

Besides madeleines, there were also various breads made in-house. Country bread (sigol-ppang)? It looked so unusual that I picked this one :)

The madeleines may be sold out in the afternoon

When I went in the afternoon, the madeleines were sold out. T_T I got there in the afternoon and they were all gone T_T If you're planning on madeleines, I recommend going early!

Bean-smelling jars and the self-service bar

There are jars where you can smell the beans yourself. If you're curious about how the coffee smells, there are scent jars right beside the menu, so you can sniff and decide on your beans. Such a thoughtful touch~★

They also sell gift cards if you want to give one as a present, just so you know! There's a spot on one side where you can get water, too~

There's a well-stocked self-service bar for when your drinks come out!

How were the vanilla lemonade, decaf americano and pumpkin bread?

Ta-daaa~~ My order is ready!

You can ask them to slice the bread, but I wanted to tear it apart by hand, so I asked for it whole~ Let me introduce what I ordered!

Vanilla lemonade

The vanilla lemonade comes topped with a syrup full of vanilla beans. It was my first time seeing vanilla lemonade, so I couldn't imagine the taste! I thought vanilla would feel creamy, but you could taste it only slightly, and the aroma was really strong~ I'm a person who likes both vanilla and lemon, so the combo felt new but went together so well. I recommend it :)

Decaf iced americano

The info board said the decaf beans here have a slight acidity. I've been only drinking decaf lately, so I was curious about this one! I'm totally a nutty-and-roasty coffee person, you know?? It was totally nutty! I didn't really taste any acidity at all??? It was extremely nutty, so for a nutty-lover like me it was just hohoho!!!!

Sweet pumpkin cream cheese country bread

This bread was packed with a seriously huge amount of sweet pumpkin cream cheese, lol. You can already see so much pumpkin from the outside

and when I tore it open, there was an enormous amount more inside?? There were also lots of thin slices of steamed sweet pumpkin! The pumpkin flavor was stronger than the cream cheese, so I think this campagne bread is great for people who love sweet pumpkin :)

Interior and seating at Remangdore Seorae Village Branch

As I ate and drank, the interior really caught my eye~ Overall it felt kind of like a cello? (I know that sounds weird, but it really did feel like that!)

The music was very calm, and the window side has seats that are great for couples, so I was jealous haha

There's a round counter in the middle, with tables arranged around it.

I sat at the window on the outdoor terrace side, which has full-length windows, so the view outside was lovely~

One side opens up like a door, and the breeze coming through was so nice, perfect for enjoying the autumn wind♥

Walking from Remangdore to Seorae Island for the sunset

Seorae Island is an easy walk from Remangdore. If you've come to Seorae Village, what's next? Seorae Island, of course!!! It's getting chilly these days, so definitely dress warmly! I cooled my throat with coffee and then headed straight to Seorae Island on foot~ It's a great walk from the café!

Wow..... I went around 5 p.m., and the sun starting to set into the sunset was so, so pretty at Seorae Island. . .! The buckwheat flowers had already finished and turned to seed, so I couldn't see any blossoms, but the unobstructed Han River view right in front was the best, I thought.

It's really cold by the river, so I recommend dressing warmly for the walk! I wore a knit and it was just right~★

Do I recommend this as a plan for waiting at the Express Bus Terminal?

If you have an awkward amount of time at the Express Bus Terminal, I recommend resting at Remangdore Seorae Village Branch and then walking on Seorae Island. After making it to Seorae Island, I felt like I'd really made the most of Seorae Village! It was my first visit, but I discovered Remangdore, a great dessert spot in Seorae Village, and finished at Seorae Island before heading to the bus terminal. Seoul really left a lingering impression haha. If you have some awkward time when using the Express Bus Terminal, I really recommend my café-to-Seorae Island route!!
