If you're looking for a good restaurant near Sinnonhyeon Station, save this post first! The meat is aged so it's incredibly delicious, and they even serve kkodeulsal (chewy pork skirt meat) which I love, plus so many great side dishes. Let me introduce Sansol Sinnonhyeon (산솔 신논현점).
Where Sansol Sinnonhyeon is, its hours and parking

Sansol Sinnonhyeon, a great restaurant near Sinnonhyeon Station — being corkage-free is rare and precious.

At the entrance of this great Sinnonhyeon restaurant there's a CatchTable waiting kiosk, so even if there's a wait, you can wait comfortably.

This is the aging chamber where they age the meat. Restaurants with an aging room like this have generally always been delicious, so I walked in with high expectations.

No smoke smell on your clothes, and free grilling by the staff
Inside Sansol Sinnonhyeon there are window seats too, and it's clean and spacious so I wasn't worried about waiting. What's surprising is that even without a separate ventilation duct, there was barely any smell of grilled meat. And the grilling service is free too, which is amazing.
Lots of tables, comfortable, and cool enough that grilling meat didn't feel hot at all — a truly great restaurant near Sinnonhyeon, Sansol!

The Sansol menu: sets, yukhoe bibimbap and cheese-bomb steamed egg
From set menus to pork neck, pork belly, kkodeulsal, Korean beef chadolbagi, and side menus with yukhoe (raw beef tartare), yukhoe bibimbap, and even grilled deodeok (bellflower root) with cheese-bomb steamed egg — the side dishes are so varied and high quality that I was really impressed.

Even the grill plate smells like a great restaurant. There's a hole on the side where the smoke seems to escape, so throughout grilling there was barely any oil splatter or smell, letting me eat cleanly.

What banchan comes with the meal at Sansol Sinnonhyeon
The basic banchan at this great Sinnonhyeon restaurant, Sansol! Two types of pickles, dressed cabbage, garlic, chili, nabak kimchi (water kimchi), white kimchi, yukjang (savory soy dip), yuzu radish salad, herring roe, wasabi, Maldon salt. A complete lineup of side dishes that pair perfectly with pork.

Aged pork neck and kkodeulsal, one serving each
The aged pork neck and kkodeulsal I ordered, one serving each. The kkodeulsal is genuinely delicious — just looking at the color of Sansol's kkodeulsal near Sinnonhyeon, you know it's got to be good haha. Totally fresh, and you could tell the pork neck was juicy too, ㅠㅠ.

The yukhoe bibimbap I ordered as a side! It came with more raw beef tartare piled on than expected, plus lots of various vegetables, so it was hearty and delicious. If you're eating rice, you have to order this.

Even the grilling service is free at this great Sinnonhyeon restaurant — a staff member kindly grills everything for you. If you feel uncomfortable, you can also ask to grill it yourself!
But I like having it grilled for me so I didn't refuse.

Sansol Sinnonhyeon, a great Sinnonhyeon restaurant — with the table filled up like this, it felt so satisfying and hearty, and the banchan were clean while the overall menu quality was high.
The meat is really a 10 out of 10. It was so good I wanted more, but since I'm dieting these days, I stopped satisfied at 2 servings ㅠㅠ. Ugh, it's hard to lose weight when the food is this good.

Why corkage-free Sansol Sinnonhyeon works for a Gangnam group dinner
Sansol Sinnonhyeon, a great Sinnonhyeon restaurant, is a Gangnam BBQ spot where staff grill for you and it's also corkage-free in Gangnam. If you're looking for a place like this, save it and definitely go visit.

The meat prices aren't expensive either, so corkage-free Gangnam here is a total steal. This great Sinnonhyeon restaurant, Sansol, is perfect for bringing drinks that pair with such delicious meat for a get-together.

The aged pork neck is cut into cubes, an easy size to eat, and the staff grills it deliciously for you.

The fresh yukhoe bibimbap loaded with raw beef and vegetables too — mix it all up and take a big bite, and it's truly the best!!

Side dishes are usually a weak point at BBQ places, but here even the sides are so high quality that I'll definitely come back with a friend next time we eat meat, ㅠㅠ.
Pa-yukjang dip, Maldon salt and garlic scapes: the combos to try at Sansol
They said the pork neck is even better dipped in the pa-yukjang (green onion soy dip), so I ate it as instructed. The staff's advice is usually right. The sweet soy sauce with plenty of fragrant green onion — the pa-yukjang was so delicious.
The kkodeulsal is truly satisfying even with just a dip in Maldon salt alone.
Even the king oyster mushrooms grilled perfectly and dipped in salt were so good, hehe.
Grilled garlic scapes are something even my parents are into these days, and grilling them alongside pork gives such a great aroma, so delicious. They served this kind of thoughtful garnish too, and I ate so well.

I'm the local seaweed-flake villain — I asked for extra seaweed flakes and mixed up the remaining yukhoe bibimbap completely. This much seaweed flakes is just right for me.
The white kimchi here is also incredibly delicious — grilled white kimchi + kkodeulsal + wasabi is a must-try combo.

Honestly the white kimchi is so good it doesn't matter whether it's with pork neck or kkodeulsal haha.

I didn't realize it was herring roe and left it alone until the end, when I finally ate it — the popping texture was so delicious!! I'm an idiot for eating the herring roe so late!!! If you're looking for corkage-free Gangnam, a Sinnonhyeon restaurant where they grill for you, or a great restaurant near Sinnonhyeon Station, be sure to save this and pay a visit. I'm definitely planning to come back.
