Taco spot near Sunae Station, Seongnam: free tortilla refills, Elato

Today's story is about the best real-deal taco place I've eaten at in Bundang lately: Elato Bundang (엘라토 분당) in Jeongja 🌮 The food is great, but they also refill your tortillas and sauce, which is such a bargain. I really recommend going at least once 👍🏻

Getting to Elato Bundang and parking

Elato Bundang is on Naejeong-ro 129beon-gil in Jeongja-dong, about 1km on foot from Sunae Station. If you drive, parking space is very tight, so I'd park nearby and walk over 👍🏻

There's a terrace area too, which gave the place an exotic feel ⛱️

There's a menu board at the entrance too 🌮 ✔️ Every menu item is available for takeout.

Inside Elato Bundang: waiting and the sink

Inside, it's quite spacious once you count the terrace seats! ➕ But it's a popular spot, so there may be a wait. If I'd been a bit later, I might not have gotten in 😳

➕ Such a thoughtful touch! There's a separate sink in the middle of the restaurant haha. It was nice to be able to wash my hands clean after eating tacos 🧼🫧

Tip: free tortilla and sauce refills at Elato Bundang

🍯 Let me share a tip. At Elato Bundang, if you press the staff call button on the table, you can get a free refill of tortillas or sauce. I only found out afterward myself.

So if I ordered again, I'd get the fajitas for two plus guacamole and nachos, then ask for extra sauce and keep piling it on the nachos 😛 That was a tip from your friendly foodie.

Fajitas on a hot grill at Elato Bundang

The fajitas came out first 🥹 Sautéed onions, beef, pork, chicken and shrimp arrive on a hot grill 🍳

A candle like this burns underneath and keeps it warm 🔥, which was nice.

Is the shrimp taco hard or soft?

The shrimp taco at Elato Bundang isn't a crunchy hard taco but a soft taco made with a soft tortilla. So it tasted almost the same as the fajitas we ordered. (If I ordered again, I'd get nachos instead 👍🏻)

Now that everything's out, time to taste 😋

I took a big bite of the shrimp taco first, and it's so full of filling that it can't not be good 🥲 The sour cream sauce base cuts the richness and adds more flavor 🤍🫧 The meats and shrimp gave it a great texture, and there was even canned pineapple in it, so it was a little sweet too 🍍 Fitting for a Jeongja taco spot, it was so harmonious and the mouthful was delicious 🥹

Elato Bundang fajita taste and how to eat them

Now it's the fajitas' turn 😋 The sizzling grill looks like this 🔥 The tomato sauce and cheese sauce at Elato Bundang are amazing, and I loved that cheese is sprinkled generously over the meats 🧀

I'm going to start by stacking up the barbacoa, which is like jangjorim (soy-braised beef) 🥩 Pile on the ingredients generously 🐷

This is how I loaded mine up too. Every ingredient is tasty, so whatever you put on is good 🩷

How is the review event birria ramen?

This is the birria ramen I got from the Elato Bundang review event! It has a deep beef flavor and a bit of spice, and that spice made the broth feel even more refreshing and wiped out the richness 🌶️ If you don't want to get tired of tacos, this is a must~~~

The chewy noodles pass the test too 🍜🏅

Anyway, I stuffed myself like crazy and had extra tortillas to eat it all up 🌮 It's a Jeongja taco spot I'll definitely come back to whenever tacos call: Elato Bundang 👍🏻
