Mummum is a place I used to eat at all the time! I hadn't been for a while, then suddenly missed it so much that I finally went back to Mummum Dasa Branch (뭄뭄 다사점), a great Japanese spot in Dasa, Daegu, haha. Mummum is famous for its sushi, but honestly I really love the steak bowl here! I remembered how good it was and visited after ages, and it was still sooo good, waaah. Let me tell you all about Mummum Dasa Branch, where I happily ate assorted sushi, a steak bowl and fried shrimp~!

Mummum Dasa Branch is at 14 Dasa-ro 4-gil, Dasa-eup, Dalseong-gun, Daegu (1st floor). It is open 11:00–21:00, with a break from 15:00 to 17:00 and last order at 20:30. It is closed every Monday, and you can use the parking lot in front of the restaurant.

My first visit in ages to Mummum Dasa Branch! It's a Japanese restaurant in Dasa, Daegu, where you can enjoy all kinds of Japanese dishes, from sushi to rice bowls, tonkatsu (breaded pork cutlet) and udon, haha.

There's also parking space in front of the restaurant, so it's easy to visit by car!

The inside of Mummum Dasa Branch is decorated in wood tones, so it felt clean and warm overall! Besides regular tables, there are also dacchi (counter) seats where you can sit side by side, haha.

What we ordered at Mummum Dasa Branch

This time at Mummum Dasa Branch we ordered assorted sushi, a steak bowl and fried shrimp. Mummum has a big menu, from sushi to rice bowls, tonkatsu, udon and even pasta! Mummum is famous for its salmon sushi, but I really love the steak bowl here, haha. I got it every time I visited before, so of course I couldn't skip it this time! Assorted sushi and fried shrimp came along too 🤍

Mummum assorted sushi if you don't like salmon

The assorted sushi at Mummum Dasa Branch is a good pick for people who don't care for salmon and want to try several kinds. Let's start with the assorted sushi! Mummum is known for its thick salmon sushi, but I'm not a big salmon fan, so I ordered the assorted sushi to try a variety, haha.

Picking out a bit of this and that like this is more my style than eating just one kind 🤍 And as a wasabi lover, I piled on plenty of wasabi too..!

What does the steak bowl at Mummum Dasa Branch taste like?

The steak bowl at Mummum Dasa Branch comes with big, thick pieces of meat that aren't tough at all. And now, the star of today!!! The steak bowl, my absolute favorite thing to eat whenever I come to Mummum, waaah 🤎 I could honestly say I come to Mummum just for this, lol.

First, look at the size of the meat • • • It's really big and thick, and not tough at all, can you believe it?! The moment I took a bite I thought, yep, this is Mummum, waaah.

Add a little wasabi to the steak bowl

And you have to eat the steak bowl with a little wasabi on top, okay?! A big piece of meat with a bit of wasabi, eaten together with the rice, is seriously amazing... If you're going to Mummum, please try the steak bowl at least once!!!

Jumbo fried shrimp at Mummum Dasa Branch

The fried shrimp at Mummum Dasa Branch used big shrimp, and it came out freshly fried, crispy outside and plump inside. And of course we can't skip the fried shrimp! But wait, what is going on with the size of this shrimp?! A truly giant shrimp has appeared!!!!!!!!!!

Who could resist freshly fried shrimp?! Crispy outside with a plump shrimp inside, and eating it right while it was hot was pure heaven, waaah 🤍 The crunchy coating and springy shrimp were so, so good, haha.

Back at Mummum Dasa Branch after a long time: was it the same?

My first visit in a while to Mummum Dasa Branch! I used to eat here all the time, and even after the gap it was still delicious, so I was really satisfied, haha. Besides sushi there are rice bowls, tonkatsu and more, so you can pick whatever suits your taste!
