Seongsu dessert café with 3 free self-studio photos: LOOOP Bakery
In short
LOOOP Bakery is a dessert café in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, a five-minute walk from Seongsu Station and Ttukseom Station, spread over three floors with a rooftop terrace. After browsing the Seongsu pop-ups, I rested at LOOOP Bakery with a nutty-bean americano and cream salt bread, then took three free self-studio photos on the third floor. LOOOP Bakery is one of the best cafés in Seongsu for a break and photos in the middle of a date in Seongsu-dong.

I've been going on Seongsu pop-up dates almost every week these days~ but by the time I've done a full loop, my legs are always begging for a break.

The Seongsu café I'm introducing today is a dessert spot with three spacious floors, and café customers can even get self-studio photos taken — so you leave with a bag full of Seongsu-dong date memories too. Let me introduce LOOOP, a Seongsu dessert café!
Where is LOOOP Bakery and what kind of café is it?
LOOOP Bakery is a Seongsu dessert café spread across three floors on Yeonmujang 5-gil in Seongdong-gu, Seoul. Coffee, drinks, and wine are served daily from 09:30 to 02:00 the next day, and the bakery runs daily from 12:00 to 02:00 the next day.
- A spacious space that's great for resting after touring Seongsu pop-ups
- 3 free self-studio photos for café customers
- A terrace and rooftop photo zone perfect for pictures
- A Seongsu dessert café with both regular and vegan bakery items
- Specialty beans so you can enjoy coffee suited to your taste
Today, again, my friend and I did a full loop of the Seongsu pop-ups and were looking for a café to rest at before dinner — and that's how I found this place! LOOOP Bakery, a Seongsu dessert café, is near Seongsu-dong Shoe Theme Park, and it's about 5 minutes from either Ttukseom Station Exit 5 or Seongsu Station Exit 4, so it was easy to reach no matter which station we got off at, haha.

It's especially close to where all the Seongsu-dong pop-up stores are clustered, so it was perfect for when our legs got tired mid-date. Since it's a large café spanning three floors, seats were pretty roomy even on a Friday. Once you get close, the building looks like a gift box, so you can spot it right away even on your first visit, haha.

The interior had a clean, sleek white-toned atmosphere. The first floor was a bit crowded, but going up to the 2nd, 3rd floor, and the terrace felt much more relaxed.

I actually saw people on what looked like blind dates there too — it's comfortable for chatting easily with a friend, and it seems like a good pick for anyone looking for an atmospheric Seongsu-dong date course, I thought.
Free self-studio photos on the third floor of LOOOP Bakery
On the 3rd floor of LOOOP Bakery there's a dedicated self-studio, and café customers can get up to 3 free photos taken. There's also a stair photo zone on the rooftop.

And here's the point I really liked about LOOOP Bakery! There's a dedicated self-studio set up on the 3rd floor.

If you're a café customer, you can get up to 3 photos taken for free. A lot of people go out of their way to visit a separate self-photo studio as part of their date, but here you can rest at the café and take photos right after — which made it feel like a surprisingly full Seongsu-dong date course, haha.

Going up to the rooftop, there's also a stair photo zone, styled somewhat like a stairway to heaven~ Especially, the rooftop has a view toward Dior Seongsu, so I thought it'd be great to visit in the evening for pretty Seongsu-dong night views too. Resting at the café and getting photos in during a Seongsu-dong date was surprisingly good for making memories.
Vegan bakery options at this Seongsu dessert café
LOOOP Bakery is a Seongsu dessert café that sells both regular and vegan bakery items together. They say they make their bakery items in-house using French flour and imported butter.

LOOOP Bakery is also famous as a Seongsu dessert café. They sell vegan bakery items alongside regular ones, and using French flour and imported butter, they say you can taste bakery goods made in-house.

I had to eat dinner later so I was trying to hold back on dessert, but how could I just walk past such delicious-looking bread at a Seongsu dessert café like this?! Holding onto the last thread of reason, I negotiated with myself down to just one cream salt bread...

For coffee, you could choose from a basic americano up to specialty beans based on your taste — a heavy, low-acidity Dark, a nutty-tasting Nutty, a well-balanced Balance, a fragrant and refreshing Citrus, and even Decaf, all prepared in variety.

You can also get Geisha, Blue Mountain, Kona — the world's three great specialty coffees — as hand-drip, so if you're serious about coffee, I definitely recommend trying it, haha. The drink prices were a bit on the higher side, but for a Seongsu dessert café where you can relax with delicious coffee right in the middle of Seongsu-dong, with plenty to enjoy and bakery options too, it felt like a fair price.
How do the nutty-bean americano and cream salt bread taste?
What we ordered at LOOOP Bakery was an americano (nutty beans) and a cream salt bread. The americano was nutty with no bitterness, and the salt bread had a crispy bottom with cream that wasn't too sweet — a great sweet-salty combo.

After a short wait, out came LOOOP Bakery's cream salt bread and americano! We ordered nutty for our americano beans, and with every sip there was a proper angel ring in the coffee cup, which somehow made it feel extra fresh.

It wasn't over-roasted or bitter at all, with a mellow bitterness and full nuttiness — it was truly a day I got to have a proper delicious americano! Lately I've just been filling up on caffeine from low-cost coffee, so having beans where I could really enjoy the aroma and flavor made me feel like I'd want to stop here for coffee every time I come to Seongsu for a date, ugh.

Meanwhile, the salt bread had a crispy bottom, and the sweet-salty combo of the salt on top with the rich, not-too-sweet cream was perfect. It was a Seongsu dessert café so good that I forgot I still had to go eat dinner and ended up finishing the whole thing, haha.
Why LOOOP Bakery works for a date in Seongsu-dong
LOOOP Bakery is close to both Seongsu and Ttukseom stations and has a spacious layout, making it a great Seongsu dessert café to rest at in the middle of a pop-up tour. Dessert, coffee, and self-studio photos are all covered in one place.

When you go around several pop-ups on a Seongsu date, you end up walking more than you'd think and your legs get pretty sore. That's when LOOOP Bakery comes in handy — rest with delicious dessert and coffee, then take photos at the self-studio!

It's close to both Seongsu and Ttukseom stations, and the space is spacious, so it was a great stop on a Seongsu-dong date course. Next time I come back to see more pop-ups, I think I'll drop by this Seongsu dessert café, LOOOP Bakery, again for a delicious coffee and a salt bread : )
