Hi everyone! Today I'm introducing a totally nutty-sweet.. 🥺 ice cream spot near Ttukseom Station. Ice cream is great in summer, but somehow I end up eating more of it in winter..(?) So I looked this place up, and it's a genuine;; ice cream gem, and I really wanted you all to try it, so here I am writing this post..!

Walking from Ttukseom Station to Mellows, and the terrace seats

Mellows is walkable from Ttukseom Station and not far at all! Walking by, the clean exterior catches your eye. There wasn't as much foot traffic around as I expected, so it seemed like a nice quiet spot to enjoy the terrace too. Maybe that's why customers kept sitting there — I managed to snap a photo during a brief gap haha

The terrace seats have such nice vibes too! It was a bit warm that day so we ate inside, but on milder days like these lately, I'd totally recommend the terrace!

What is the indoor seating at Mellows like?

The inside space at Mellows is decorated just as prettily! There's a huge window that gives an open, airy feel with no sense of being cooped up!

All 8 soft serve flavors on the Mellows menu

Looking at the Mellows menu, since it's a soft serve specialty shop, there were so many flavors! A whopping 8..! They use Sangha Farm ice cream, so even the basic flavor is delicious.. plain milk, affogato with espresso added, matcha, chocolate, peanut butter, and more, plus fruit flavors like peach, mango, and strawberry. So many options it's actually hard to choose..

And it looks like from evening they also sell various alcoholic drinks, but I had plans in the evening this time so I couldn't try it.. definitely need to enjoy that on my next visit!

Matcha ice cream: Jeju matcha sauce and crunch topping

Not long after ordering, the matcha & mango ice cream arrived! I ordered mango because Naver Place said it was the signature menu! Interesting how the toppings and feel are different for matcha versus mango..! The base is Sangha Farm milk ice cream so you know it can't taste bad ㅠ

For the matcha, they pour on a generous amount of Jeju matcha sauce and top it with crunch and even a cookie stuck in

There's even crunch at the bottom, so you can enjoy it deliciously all the way to the last bite. It's not too bitter, so even people who don't like matcha could probably enjoy it! I'm someone who loads toppings on Greek yogurt too, so having a variety of toppings was great

The matcha looks delicious even in photos.. if you like matcha, you have to try this flavor!

Mango ice cream: real fruit on top and underneath

Next up, mango! Sweet mango flesh is piled on both top and bottom, and it goes so well with the ice cream..? There's also plenty of mango flesh packed in, which I really loved about this menu..

Since it's Sangha Farm ice cream it's nutty.. and with fruit on top it's sweet, so nutty-sweet perfection ㅠ

What to order on a second visit to Mellows

If you come to Ttukseom, you all have to try Mellows ice cream..! It's a flavor nobody could dislike, and with so many varieties there's even fun in exploring them all — I'm planning to go back next time to try a different flavor 🤤
