Seongdong Korean BBQ with staff-grilled pork: Seongsu Teojeon

Seongsu Teojeon Ttukseom Main Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Seongdong, Seoul, between Ttukseom Station and Seoul Forest. I tried the Teojeon Popular Platter of thick pork belly and pork neck, cooked by the staff and paired with an array of sauces and side dishes before an evening walk in Seoul Forest. Verdict: A great reservation-worthy pick if you are not confident grilling meat yourself.

City Hall Seoul Korean BBQ emperor galbi set: Geumseong Hoegwan

Geumseong Hoegwan Seoul City Hall Direct Branch is a Korean barbecue restaurant in Jung-gu, Seoul, near City Hall Station. I ordered the Emperor Galbi Set for two and the large Korean beef yukhoe bibimbap, with chewy beef, cleanly spicy sundubu-jjigae, and sesame-oil-scented rice. Verdict: a satisfying lunch, but reserve ahead or time your visit well.
