Comma Hair & Makeup (꼼마헤어&메이크업) is a well-known hair and makeup salon in Hongdae, and it runs one-day makeup lessons. I'm a textbook klutz with makeup (똥손), so my everyday look is that "am I wearing makeup or not?" kind of thing. Through a blog experience program, I got to take a makeup lesson at Comma Hair & Makeup!! haha It was so much fun and so useful that I had to share it!

Ta-da, a clean white-toned salon! There's a waiting area too, so anyone who comes with you can wait there~ It's tidy and comfortable! hehe

What I liked most about Comma Hair & Makeup is that everything happens in a 1:1 private room, so you can get your makeup and hair done comfortably! I mean.. an open space would feel awkward, right? haha At Comma Hair & Makeup you don't have to worry about that, because all makeup is done privately, one on one.
Ta-da! haha A vanity table like the ones I only used to see on YouTube. (It's a salon, so of course.) There were sooo many cosmetics. I'm amazed they remember and use all of them •• haha
Do you go to the makeup lesson bare-faced?
Yes, for the makeup lesson at Comma Hair & Makeup you go bare-faced. The instructor demonstrates(?) on your face while teaching, so just come with simple skincare and no sunscreen. Look at my obviously asymmetrical brows! See how they changed later.
What do you learn in the lesson?
In the lesson at Comma Hair & Makeup, they walk you through everything step by step, from skincare to base to color makeup!! (The makeup takes about 1 hour.) They'd never seen me before, but being a professional, they explained in detail what my skin type is, how to apply skincare, how to lay the base, how to draw the brows, eye color combinations, blush, shading and more!
It was so fascinating.. and the colors they recommended suited me so perfectly that I felt glad I came!! I'm a typical spring warm tone, and I'll share the products the instructor recommended below, haha (but the detailed technique is a trade secret)

This is before the lips and blush! The makeup already looks clean, right? heh. They evened out my asymmetrical brows too. I'm diligently practicing the technique I learned that day (?) haha
