Gyeongju mochi shop picnic at Noseo-ri with no cooler bag: Tareudang

Tareudang is a fruit mochi and tart dessert shop on Hwangnidang-gil in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do. Visiting alone on a weekday at 12:19pm, the writer took out three mochi — peach at 7,000 won, low-sugar mango yogurt at 7,500 won and fresh chocolate at 6,000 won — and ate them picnic-style at Noseo-ri in the Daereungwon area, where more than 30 minutes without a cooler bag left them slightly melted. Tareudang wins on fruit volume and fresh cream, making it a completely different genre from the traditional chapssaltteok of Seoul's Hanjeongseon.
