Black pork suyuk course at Okryeon Galbi, a Pyeongtaek meat house

Okryeon Galbi Pyeongtaek Main Branch is a yuzu-marinated pork galbi restaurant on the first floor of Golden Tower in Sosabeol, Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi. Visiting as a couple, the writer ate course-style: a miette appetizer, Jirisan black pork suyuk (boiled pork), yuzu galbi grilled at the table by staff, bibim makguksu, yuzu soy sauce egg rice and ginger lemon sherbet, with the signature yuzu-marinated pork galbi at 15,000 won for 250g. The sauce is not just sweet — the yuzu brightness and charcoal aroma keep the meal from feeling heavy right to the last bite.
