Hongdae pasta spot: solo toowoomba set, garlic risotto to go, Pasta Go
In short
Pasta Go Hongdae Branch is a budget pasta and risotto restaurant on Wausan-ro 33-gil, near Exit 7 of Hongik Univ. Station in Mapo, Seoul. The writer ate a solo set at Pasta Go Hongdae Branch (lime Trevi sparkling water, sweet potato pizza and Shin Ramyun-spicy toowoomba cream pasta with extra sausage) and took home a garlic butter cream risotto with bacon for the next day's office lunch. Pasta Go Hongdae Branch is easy for solo dining, and even its takeout stays thick and creamy.

When I'm craving pasta or risotto near Hongdae, I head to Pasta Go Hongdae Branch: good value and easy to eat at alone. I loved the Magok branch last time, so since I was in Hongdae anyway, I stopped by this one too.

Where Pasta Go Hongdae Branch is and how to get there
Pasta Go Hongdae Branch is at 12 Wausan-ro 33-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul, an easy walk from Exit 7 of Hongik Univ. Station. Go up about half a flight of stairs and you'll reach the entrance.
It was easy to reach by public transport~ You come in from the Gyeongui Line Forest Park direction, so there's fun stuff to look at on the way too!

Pasta Go Hongdae Branch opening hours
Pasta Go Hongdae Branch is open daily from 10:00 to 20:20, with last order at 19:40.

Atmosphere and seating
The inside is clean, with tables for two and four. The window side has floor-to-ceiling windows like this, which gave it an open, airy feel haha

The lighting and interior were nice too.

Menu and how to order at Pasta Go Hongdae Branch
You can order by QR code at your seat, or use the mini kiosk at the counter. The QR code takes you to Naver, where you can browse the menu at your own pace.
I ordered the solo set (sparkling water + sweet potato pizza + toowoomba pasta + sausage topping), and since I didn't want to leave it at that, I also ordered the garlic butter cream risotto to go. The risotto comes with a choice of bacon or shrimp topping, and I picked bacon!~

Pickles first at the self-serve bar
At the self-serve bar you can grab water, pickles, straws and whatever else you need!

I'm a pickle fanatic, so pickles were the first thing I grabbed haha

Toowoomba cream pasta solo set: how was the Shin Ramyun spice level?
What I ate in the restaurant was the solo set!! I chose Trevi sparkling water (lime), sweet potato pizza and toowoomba cream pasta (a spicy cream sauce pasta), picked Shin Ramyun-level spiciness, and added plump sausage as a topping!

It had been a while since I'd had toowoomba pasta, and the sauce looked so thick and rich that it passed my test right away. The cream sauce was thick but not too heavy, and with the Shin Ramyun spice level the kick was just right.

Eating it with the standard shrimp topping plus the extra sausage made it even better haha

I don't know why I've been craving such thick, rich cream sauce lately~~

Sweet potato pizza side with sparkling water
The sweet potato pizza that comes as the side in the set was sweet and a nice treat.

The pizza is small but neatly cut, so it's easy to eat, and the sweet potato flavor paired well with the thick toowoomba cream pasta~ Washing it down with ice-cold sparkling water cleared away the richness and made the set feel complete.

Garlic butter cream risotto: still good as takeout?
Here's the garlic butter cream risotto I took away from Pasta Go Hongdae Branch! They packed it in a paper bag.

Under the lighting it looks redder, but in real life it's more white! I picked Shin Ramyun spiciness for the risotto too haha

The garlic butter cream risotto was so thick and rich too. The sauce is totally my style~ A subtle garlic butter aroma comes through, so I think cream risotto fans will be very happy with it!!

The cream sauce soaks well into the rice and the savory garlic butter aroma adds to it, so it held up fine as takeout. I ate it for lunch at the office and it was seriously so good haha

The toppings were packed with mushrooms, bacon and assorted vegetables, so I was very satisfied~
Who should go to Pasta Go Hongdae Branch?
If you're looking for good-value pizza or pasta near Hongik Univ. Station, or want an easy meal alone, Pasta Go Hongdae Branch is worth a visit :) Both the toowoomba and the cream risotto are delicious!~! Next time I'd like to try other pasta and risotto dishes in the restaurant. Another tasty meal done today~
