Uijeongbu BBQ with a playroom: ₩57,000 half-pig and beef tartare set
Hanmaeum Butcher Restaurant Uijeongbu Gosan District Branch is a dry-aged Korean BBQ restaurant with a kids' playroom, on the 3rd floor of a building on Seseok-ro in the Gosan district of Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi. With her child in the spacious playroom, which has a slide and CCTV, the writer grilled five pork cuts — samgyeopsal (pork belly), ogyeopsal (skin-on belly), pork neck, pork jowl and gabrisal — from the half-pig plus Korean beef tartare set at ₩57,000, and the free sides of doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), mukbap (acorn jelly in broth) and pickled chilli peppers stood out as much as the meat. Hanmaeum Butcher Restaurant works equally well for a family meal with young kids and for a group gathering.
