Meeting-friendly café in Uijeongbu with 4-bean blend coffee: Forerest
In short
Forerest is a large forest café on Nogyang-ro in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi, known for Basque cheesecake and coffee blended from four specialty beans. On a weekday visit the writer ordered an americano, a mocha, and chocolate and Earl Grey Basque cheesecakes, saw many guests holding meetings in Forerest's well-divided spaces, and found decaf and organic tea for pregnant guests. What is Forerest, the Uijeongbu café, like?
Forerest is a café in a quiet wooded spot on Nogyang-ro in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi. It's open 11:00 to 24:00, every day of the year, and pets are welcome too.

I wanted to relax somewhere with lots of nature, so I headed to Forerest. Tucked into a quiet forest, it feels like a recreation forest where you can enjoy coffee and chewy, rich Basque cheesecake, a hidden gem of an Uijeongbu café. It's deep inside Uijeongbu, so having a car makes getting there easier, but even on weekdays plenty of people come, which makes it a very popular dessert spot.
Forerest store guide: seating and pet rules

Forerest is bigger inside than I expected, one of those large Uijeongbu cafés with plenty of seats. Pets are allowed, but only dogs and cats that are fully vaccinated, and you need a leash or a carrier. There's also a dedicated water bowl for pets, so keep that in mind.

Can you hold a meeting at Forerest?
What I like about Forerest is that the space is nicely divided, so your group can spend time in privacy. On the weekday I visited, quite a few people were making good use of that and holding meetings. Having a meeting in a forest-vibe café like this? Their company perks must be pretty great.

Interior that works with kids, too
The nicely decorated interior caught my eye all over the place. A rug with pets drawn on it, which kids love, and instruments placed here and there looked like they'd easily grab children's attention. Forerest is great to visit with pets, and it's also a good Uijeongbu café to spend time at with kids.
Forerest menu: 5 flavors of Basque cheesecake

Forerest is famous as a dessert spot, but the dessert lineup is simple: its signature Basque cheesecake.

What I ordered was an americano, a mocha, a chocolate Basque cheesecake and an Earl Grey Basque cheesecake.

Besides the plain Basque cheesecake, there are chocolate, black sesame, matcha and Earl Grey cheesecakes you can only get at Forerest. The moist, dense Basque cheesecake here is really outstanding.

What beans does Forerest use for its coffee?
The coffee is special too. The owner blends four specialty beans in a signature combination, so the aroma is something you can only get at Forerest, and it's really appealing. Because it's a blend of four beans rather than one, the nutty aroma is so distinctive that it stuck with me.

Decaf and organic tea that pregnant guests can drink
The dense yet smooth Basque cheesecake and the specially scented coffee are both excellent. For people who can't drink coffee well, decaf and tea are nicely prepared, so it was great for a pregnant woman like me. The tea at Forerest in particular is organic, so I could really feel the taste of tea enjoyed in nature.
Forerest review: a big café like a cabin in the woods

Forerest is an Uijeongbu café in the forest. From outside it looks like a little cabin in the woods, but inside it's a surprisingly big café. That makes hunting for hidden corners fun, and I enjoyed the picture-frame-like windows here and there and the lovely music coming from the instruments. The kids liked this forest cabin of a café a lot too.

Spending time at the café felt like a trip to the forest, and that in itself was healing. It's getting too hot to go anywhere, so if you want to escape the busy city and spend time that feels like recharging in the woods, how about Forerest in Uijeongbu? I was very satisfied.
