Wondang drive café on a weekday off: salt bread & ciabatta, Baedagol
In short
Baedagol Bakery House (배다골베이커리하우스) is a large bakery café with nature views in Wondang, Deogyang-gu, Goyang. The writer and her husband, who has weekdays off, stopped by on a drive for an iced americano, salt bread, olive ciabatta and a sausage danish, and spending over ₩30,000 earned them a sweet potato from the autumn event. With a big free car park and a 2nd-floor terrace, Baedagol Bakery House was just right for a short weekday-afternoon break in Wondang.

It was my husband's weekday day off, a rare chance to rest, so we headed out for a drive to clear our heads. I wanted to spend a relaxed time looking at nature views, and that's how we ended up at Baedagol Bakery House (배다골베이커리하우스) in Wondang, Deogyang-gu, Goyang.
Baedagol Bakery House location and opening hours
Baedagol Bakery House is at 123 Hoguk-ro 1121beon-gil, Deogyang-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi, and it's open daily 10:00–21:00 (the original also lists 20:30). It has free parking, birthday perks, separate men's and women's restrooms, takeout, Wi-Fi and baby chairs.

Tasty bakery items, coffee and autumn scenery all in one place: Baedagol Bakery House is a spacious, laid-back café.
Is parking easy at Baedagol Bakery House?

There's room for about 10 cars in front of the café and 40+ more across the street, so free parking for 50+ cars in total. Plenty of space!
It's more convenient if you come by car than by public transport.

The weather has been so nice lately. Autumn is a great time to be outdoors, and the nature views here are really appealing.

Baedagol Bakery House offers everything from healthy, tasty bread to desserts and drinks made with seasonal fruit.

Dogs and the morning set
You can visit with your dog, but dogs can't go indoors and a leash is required, so keep that in mind if you're bringing one :)

There's also a morning set discount every day from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., so it's worth knowing if you're coming in the morning, right!? 😀

Autumn event: free sweet potato for ₩30,000+
There was an autumn event going on too: spend ₩30,000 or more at the café that day and you get a sweet potato. You can also buy sweet potatoes separately :)

Enjoy your bread and drinks and take a little gift home too! Small events like this just put me in a good mood.
Are there seats on a weekday after lunch?
We came after lunch and it was really crowded. This place is busy on weekdays and weekends alike, so I sort of expected it, but it was bustling again that day.

Still, there are plenty of seats on both the 1st and 2nd floors, so we found a spot right away.

Maybe because the weather was nice, the lush green plants around the outdoor seats looked especially pretty. It felt like a refresh without traveling far ❤️

There are quite a lot of outdoor seats, so having coffee outside would be nice too. It was a lovely day but the sun was too strong, so we ate indoors... ^^;
When it gets cooler in the morning and evening, you can use the blankets they provide to stay warm :)
2nd-floor room-style seats and terrace
The 2nd floor was busy too!

Both floors have roomy seating, and the 2nd floor also has room-like separated seats. There were people there, so I couldn't take detailed photos 🫠
They looked good for coming with a group or when you want a more comfortable chat.

The 2nd floor also has a terrace, a great high spot for looking out at the scenery. The wide open view is perfect for zoning out and healing.
Spending a weekday afternoon with my husband for the first time in a while gave me a feeling of briefly escaping everyday life.
Kid-friendly facilities, restrooms and self bar
The facilities are convenient for families too. There are baby chairs and amenities like a diaper-changing table, so it's a fine place to visit with a child.
The women's restroom is on the 1st floor and the men's restroom is on the 2nd floor.

The 1st-floor self bar has water and a microwave, plus a self-packing area where you can box up leftover bread yourself.
Baedagol Bakery House bread and drink menu

We'd had lunch, but there's always a separate stomach for dessert, right? Honestly, once you see the bread here you can't resist 🤣
The display cases are packed with handmade bread, cakes and desserts, so choosing was half the fun.

Drinks start with basic coffee and go on to tea, non-coffee lattes, handmade teas, juice, ade, smoothies, and even snowflake bingsu (shaved ice dessert).

Autumn is coming, so sweet potato and roasted chestnut latte season has started. Come enjoy a nutty, sweet drink and dessert 🙂
What we ordered: iced americano and three breads
- Iced americano
- Olive ciabatta
- Salt bread
- Sausage danish
Since we were at a bakery café, it felt a shame to leave with just coffee,

so I picked out several breads. A bit much for something chosen out of regret, right? 🤣 But that's how we reached ₩30,000 and got the event sweet potato 😀

Iced americano
Iced americano is a must with bread! It pairs cleanly with everything from nutty, plain bread to salty bread.

Salt bread
The salt bread is a must-eat when you come to Baedagol Bakery House! Lightly salty outside, crispy outside and moist inside, just perfect.
Olive ciabatta
If you've seen a few of my blog posts, you know olive ciabatta is my husband's pick, haha. Plain and savory, with the saltiness and aroma of olives in every bite! The texture is chewy but not heavy, so it keeps going down easily.

Sausage danish
The danish has a crisp, layered, just-right texture with a snappy sausage inside, totally my taste! Even though I was full, I ended up finishing it...
A Naver photo review event is running too, so make sure to grab the perks!
Verdict: who is Baedagol Bakery House for?

Baedagol Bakery House is a charming Wondang café where you can enjoy bread and coffee with an open view of nature, and it puts your mind at ease.
- People looking for a café with a big free parking lot
- People who want to sip coffee leisurely while looking at nature
- People who want seasonal menus like sweet potato latte and roasted chestnut latte
- Families looking for a café that's comfortable with kids
- People who want an outdoor terrace as well as indoor seating
Among Goyang cafés, it's worth considering if you want a spacious place with a wide range of bakery items. If you're looking for cafés near Ilsan, it's also a good stop on a drive for coffee and bread. If you want a little break from everyday life, give it a visit :)
