Ungjin Dalseo Dwaeji Gukbap is a Korean restaurant serving pork gukbap (pork and rice soup) and sundae gukbap (Korean blood sausage soup) on Dangsan-ro 38-gil in Duryu-dong, Dalseo-gu, Daegu. A mother 35 weeks pregnant and her husband came for a late lunch and ordered sundae gukbap for 9,000 won, spicy gukbap for 10,000 won and hanip sundae (bite-sized blood sausage) for 6,000 won. The sundae gukbap also came with pork, so they got the appeal of both soups in one bowl. Verdict: Ungjin Dalseo Dwaeji Gukbap made even someone who disliked chewy pork gukbap want to come back.

Don Gukbap is a pork gukbap (pork and rice soup) and suyuk (boiled pork) restaurant on Oksan-ro 7-gil near Buk-gu Office Station in Buk-gu, Daegu. Five family members visiting from Seoul ordered four suyuk set meals at 12,000 won each and one suyuk janchi-guksu (noodle soup) at 6,000 won, and cleared every plate: odor-free boiled pork, a 9,000-won pork gukbap with glass noodles in the broth, and buckwheat-style noodles in the soup. All five agreed Don Gukbap is a must-stop gukbap restaurant on any trip to Daegu.

Cheongujeong Beef Sinwolseong Branch is a Korean beef BBQ restaurant in Wolseong-dong, Dalseo, Daegu. Even in the rain, Slow But Barrel Daegu felt like a gallery, making it an easy café for photos with kids or pets.
