Songdo outlet okonomiyaki restaurant, no-wait seafood dinner: Jojo
In short
Jojo Triple Street Branch (죠죠 트리플스트리트점) is a teppan okonomiyaki restaurant in Building C of Triple Street in Songdo, Yeonsu, Incheon, connected to the basement of Songdo Hyundai Outlet (Songhyeon-a). The writer skipped the dinner peak, arrived late in the evening and walked in with no wait, then ordered seafood okonomiyaki, basic yakisoba and yaki fried rice, and enjoyed all three. Verdict: Jojo Triple Street is a good place for a teppan meal after shopping at Songdo Hyundai Outlet, without worrying about parking.

There's a Japanese restaurant I'm totally hooked on lately, and I keep going back again and again. It's my go-to place.

Where is Jojo Triple Street in Songdo?
Jojo Triple Street Branch (죠죠 송도 트리플스트리트점) is a teppan okonomiyaki restaurant in Building C of Songdo Triple Street, naturally connected to the basement of Songhyeon-a (Songdo Hyundai Outlet). I stop by Songhyeon-a a lot because parking is so easy and the stores are clean, and since the restaurant is directly connected, access is honestly the best. It's a perfect post-shopping restaurant at the Songdo Hyundai Outlet.
What are the service and wait like at Jojo Triple Street?
Friendly service, a pleasant space, and a wait that's always hot

The staff are friendly and the restaurant is clean, but at peak times a long wait is a must. Even within the same chain, quality and service can differ from branch to branch (what Koreans call "jeom-ba-jeom"), but this branch impresses me every time I come. The staff always greet you with a smile, and the place is kept hygienic and tidy, so it's a pleasant meal. With good food, atmosphere and kindness all in one, it's a Songdo Triple Street favorite, which is probably why a long wait is guaranteed whenever you visit at peak time.

Can you get into Jojo with no wait late in the evening?
This day I deliberately dodged the dinner peak and arrived late in the evening. Luckily one or two tables were left, so I got in right away with no wait. Days with no wait somehow feel like winning the lottery.

What to order at Jojo in Songdo
Perfect Japanese teppan dishes that call for a beer
I've tried almost everything at Jojo Triple Street, from the signature dishes to the sides, and there's not a single miss. It's all genuinely delicious. If you want to taste a variety of dishes, the set menus are great value too!

Salty-sweet okonomiyaki really calls for a cold draft beer, that's true happiness, but I'd driven that day and couldn't drink, which was heartbreaking, haha. Next time I'm leaving the car at home and having a beer.
I usually love Jojo's signature okonomiyaki best and order only that every time, but this day I wanted something clean and light without meat. So I picked the seafood okonomiyaki as my main, plus basic yakisoba and yaki fried rice for a full table.
Basic yakisoba: a savory mix of pork and squid

The first thing I tried, the basic yakisoba (stir-fried noodles), was a classic, true-to-basics version generously loaded with savory pork with no off-smell and chewy squid. The salty-sweet special yakisoba sauce soaked deep into every springy noodle, and I couldn't stop my chopsticks. The crunchy cabbage and chewy squid made a work of art in texture, and the savory flavor burst in my mouth.
Yaki fried rice: springy fried rice with a yolk to break

The yaki fried rice that came next had a wonderfully springy texture, each grain seemingly coated. I broke the egg yolk sitting prettily on top, mixed it in so the rich yolk seeped between the grains, then took a big spoonful, and the nutty, mellow flavor was crazy good. The salty teppan sauce with the soft yolk is the textbook salty-sweet-savory combo, and it was the best choice for a meal.
Seafood okonomiyaki: how does it differ from the signature?

And then the star of the show, the seafood okonomiyaki, arrived golden-brown from the griddle! The thick batter was packed with fresh seafood like plump shrimp and chewy squid, with no gaps.

From the first bite it showed off the classic crispy-outside, moist-inside texture. Unlike the meaty signature, the clean, refreshing seafood flavor stood out, and with the nutty mayonnaise and sweet-salty sauce on top, it was light and mellow without being greasy. It was so good that I devoured it to the last piece without getting tired of it.
Why Jojo is a good dinner spot near Songdo Hyundai Outlet
If you're looking for a Songdo Hyundai Outlet restaurant with easy parking and a nice atmosphere, or a Songdo Triple Street spot that won't let you down, I strongly recommend Jojo Triple Street for its crazy-good teppan cooking! I'll be back soon, leaving the car behind, to drink some beer.
