Jokbal and soju with a friend in Suwan, Gwangju: Kkankkan Jjokbal

Haven't written in a while, haha! Neighbors, all of you reading my blog, how have you been? Haha, I had personal stuff going on in Gyeonggi-do.

This time I'm introducing a spot I visited with 88man, my closest friend in Gwangju! Haha, it had been way too long since I saw this friend~! We had drinks together in early last month, and after that only saw each other briefly to hand off something, so we hadn't really met up since ㅠㅠ.ㅠ Let me introduce a good spot for Suwan-jigu restaurants, Suwan-jigu bars, and Suwan-dong jokbal spots — Kkankkan Jjokbal Suwan Branch^^

Kkankkan Jjokbal Suwan Branch location and hours

Kkankkan Jjokbal Suwan Branch is located at 44 Suwan-ro, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju (Suwan-dong 1690). Hours are 12:00 ~ 23:30, and reservations and group visits are possible, along with delivery and takeout. Men's and women's restrooms are separate.

Serious about taste, particular about ingredients~! They say they boil the jokbal fresh and sell it the same day, keeping to the basics.

Kkankkan Jjokbal Suwan Branch has a wide variety of menu items, including set menus, jokbal (pork trotters), and bossam (boiled pork wraps)~! We ordered the Gohung raw garlic jokbal, medium size~!

What comes with the basic side dishes? Sundubu jjigae to corn salad

Kkankkan Jjokbal Suwan Branch's basic side dishes are also super generous. Haha. There's sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew), corn salad, and more variety~!!Haha

Since it's summer and hot out, they also sell cold naengmyeon (cold noodles)! Haha

How was the Gohung raw garlic jokbal?

The Gohung raw garlic jokbal arrived. Haha. Looks delicious, right? Haha. Just drizzle the garlic jokbal sauce over the jokbal deliciously~~Haha

The sundubu jjigae was also boiled up deliciously! Haha

Dessert and final thoughts

After eating well, I took a Ppangnyeoni-style selfie (Ppang's self-portrait). Haha. For dessert you can have ice cream or coffee, and I wanted the ice cream, but the taxi arrived faster than expected so I couldn't have it. ㅠ.ㅠㅠ

BMI 29 Ppang enjoyed the Gohung raw garlic jokbal with his close friend 88man at Kkankkan Jjokbal Suwan Branch, a good spot for Suwan-jigu restaurants, Suwan-jigu bars, and Suwan-dong jokbal! It was so tasty that the two of us drank 4 bottles of soju together~Haha. As always, it was just so delicious and made me happy. Haha

Since it's close to my friend's place too, having a drink while chatting away about fun stuff with him makes me really happy! The staff working there were also really friendly, which was great. It'd be a good place for Suwan-jigu gatherings or work dinners too~Haha. They have jokbal, but they also sell bossam~!Haha. The bossam is delicious too.
