Ido 2-dong Jeju café with basalt dessert display and decaf: Gluttony
In short
Gluttony Coffee is an espresso and dessert café on Gunam-ro 2-gil in Ido 2-dong, Jeju City. The writer ordered a Colombian decaf coffee (₩6,000), a sweet potato financier (₩3,100) and the seasonal fig cake (₩8,000) at Gluttony Coffee, and looked around the industrial interior and the dessert display set on basalt stone. The fig cake was good enough to recommend one cake per person, and Gluttony Coffee's location near Jeju Airport makes it an easy stop at the start or end of a Jeju trip.

Looking for really good coffee and desserts at the start or end of your Jeju trip, or just around Jeju City? I'm going to write up a very detailed visit to a hip Jeju City café I found recently that nails both flavor and atmosphere: Gluttony Coffee (GLUTTONY COFFEE).
From its location to how its desserts look, Gluttony Coffee is a café near Jeju Airport I can strongly recommend. I completely fell for the fig cake after one bite, so I'll share a vivid review with photos!

Where is Gluttony Coffee, and how far is it from Jeju Airport?
Gluttony Coffee is in Ido-dong, Jeju City, at 38 Gunam-ro 2-gil, Unit 101, Jeju-si, about 15–20 minutes by car from Jeju Airport. I checked the receipt, and that's the exact address printed on it.
It's a great spot for your first stop after landing to charge up on caffeine, or for one last Jeju café dessert before you return your rental car. It isn't smack in the middle of a crowded downtown, so I could visit fairly relaxed.

Gluttony Coffee interior and the basalt dessert display
Gluttony Coffee is a modern, industrial-style café done in exposed concrete and stainless steel. The moment I walked in, my thought was, "Ah, this place is hip!" The whole space has a sleek, stylish feel.

The counter is finished in clean stainless steel, which feels hygienic and gives off a cool urban vibe. The walls have Gluttony Coffee's own distinctive posters, and the poster of stacked levain cookies totally stole my attention.

The most unique thing was this dessert display! Playing up Jeju's character, they've laid real basalt stones and set acrylic stands on top to show off the desserts like models. It looks far more upscale than just sitting on a plate, and it gave me that "I'm really in Jeju" feeling. Levain cookies of all kinds, like walnut dark chocolate and hazelnut dark chocolate, were tempting me.

Gluttony Coffee menu and prices
The Gluttony Coffee menu is divided into espresso, coffee, non-coffee, dessert and cake. You can tell they're serious about coffee from how the menu is put together.
- ESPRESSO: proper espresso drinks like espresso, caffè con panna and caffè strapazzato, at friendly prices in the ₩3,000 range
- COFFEE: Americano (₩4,500), signature Gluttony Latte (₩5,500), Cream Latte (₩6,000) and more
- NON COFFEE: apple tea, royal milk tea, watermelon ddangmoban (seasonal), pumpkin red bean tea and more
- DESSERT: canelé (₩3,500), mont blanc (₩5,500), 6 kinds of financiers and levain cookies

On the CAKE menu, the seasonal fruit whipped cream cake is the star. I visited in autumn, so the fig cake was available! Whole cakes can also be reserved, which should be useful info for anyone celebrating a special occasion in Jeju.

I ordered the Colombian decaf coffee, a sweet potato financier, and the long-awaited fig cake.

How does the Gluttony Coffee fig cake (₩8,000) taste?
Gluttony Coffee's seasonal fig cake is a whipped cream cake loaded with dairy cream and fresh figs, and it was easily one of the best Jeju café desserts I've ever had. It's overwhelming just to look at!

Powdered sugar is dusted over snow-white dairy cream, and a half of a ripe fresh fig sits on top, ta-da! You can see figs generously sandwiched between the cake layers too, right?

The moment I took a bite, I said "Wow!" The cream isn't greasy at all, it's nutty with a light sweetness, so it never overpowers the sweet, soft natural flavor of the figs.

And the sponge is so moist... together with the popping texture of the figs, it melted in my mouth. This is honestly a one-cake-per-person kind of taste. Highly recommended!

The textbook crisp-outside, soft-inside sweet potato financier (₩3,100)
The Gluttony Coffee sweet potato financier is one I picked from the baked goods, and it had that classic financier texture: crisp outside, chewy inside. A big chunk of sweetly simmered sweet potato filling sits in the middle.
The buttery flavor and the sweetness of the sweet potato came together perfectly. I think it would be fantastic with a hot Americano.

Colombian decaf coffee (₩6,000) and the cup with the tongue logo
Even though it's decaf, Gluttony Coffee's Colombian decaf coffee was rich in aroma and clean, more than good enough to go with desserts. A clean coffee is just right with sweet desserts.
The cup has a very unique logo: a tongue sticking out with a single drop of drool falling. It's a hip logo that suits the café's name, Gluttony, perfectly.

Gluttony Coffee overall: taste, atmosphere and location
The Jeju City café Gluttony Coffee was a very satisfying visit in every way: taste, atmosphere and location.
- Taste: The fig cake in particular was one of the best ever. They say different fruit cakes come out each season, so I definitely want to visit in other seasons too.
- Atmosphere: The hip, modern interior is great for taking photos.
- Location: As a café near Jeju Airport, it's ideal for a stop at the start and end of your trip.

Whatever fruit is in season, do order a cake. You won't regret it. Also, I saw in the shop that the gift boxes for set packaging are really pretty. Instead of the usual chocolates as a Jeju souvenir, a set of Gluttony Coffee levain cookies or financiers would be a smart gift too.

If you want really good coffee and special Jeju café desserts on your trip, definitely add Gluttony Coffee to your list! I'm already looking forward to the next season's cake.
