Pohang mulhoe spot with a free spicy fish stew: Oneuldo Gajami
In short
Oneuldo Gajami is a flounder mulhoe (cold raw fish soup) restaurant on the coastal road in front of Yeongildae Beach in Pohang. The writer tried flounder mulhoe and half-and-half mulhoe with squid side by side at 20,000 won each, along with flounder and squid fritters at 15,000 won, grilled flounder, and the spicy fish stew that comes free with every mulhoe order. Flounder is soft and squid is chewy, so either choice works, and the outdoor tent seating made Oneuldo Gajami a satisfying mulhoe meal in Pohang.

Pohang is famous for mulhoe (cold raw fish soup), and flounder mulhoe in particular is a must-try. While digging through lists of Pohang's top three mulhoe spots, I found this flounder specialist with an outdoor tent-pocha vibe near Yeongildae Beach — Oneuldo Gajami.

Oneuldo Gajami, the mulhoe spot everyone's talking about near Yeongildae.
Where is Oneuldo Gajami, and where do you park?
Oneuldo Gajami is a flounder mulhoe specialist on the coastal road facing Yeongildae Beach. Park at the public parking lot near Yeongildae and it's about a 5–10 minute walk to the restaurant.

The bright yellow interior stands out, and there's a tent-terrace area alongside dome-shaped seating — the outdoor pocha vibe here is amazing! If you're hunting for a Pohang tent-restaurant spot, I recommend this flounder mulhoe specialist.

There's indoor seating too, so it's comfortable even when the weather's too hot or too cold — feels like a good spot for neighborhood gatherings as well.
About the benefits of flounder at Oneuldo Gajami
The flounder used here is wild-caught and fresh, and since it's known for various health benefits, it's a healthy dish you can enjoy without any guilt.

Pohang mulhoe is a 100-year-old local tradition — a dish born from fishing villages needing to eat freshly caught fish quickly, a food shaped by labor...

Oneuldo Gajami menu and prices
Mulhoe at Oneuldo Gajami is 20,000 won a bowl, and you can choose among flounder mulhoe, squid mulhoe, or half-and-half mulhoe. The menu also includes assorted sashimi, flounder sashimi, spicy mixed sashimi, steamed whole squid, seafood ramyeon, grilled flounder, and more.

The basic side dishes are simple — four kinds: braised quail eggs, stir-fried sausage, green peas, and stir-fried potato strips.
Flounder mulhoe or half-and-half mulhoe: which should you order?
I ordered flounder mulhoe (20,000 won) and half-and-half mulhoe (20,000 won) side by side. The half-and-half mulhoe combines squid and flounder.

The mulhoe with squid sashimi is a bit chewier, while the flounder mulhoe feels softer — pick whichever suits your taste.

Pour in the slushy iced broth and mix it up — Pohang-style flounder mulhoe complete!

There were plenty of vegetables and more volume than I expected — a healthy, filling meal.

Lots of sashimi, and the icy broth had a mild sweet-and-sour, refreshing flavor that was seriously addictive.
They give you rice too — eat about half, then mix the rest into the cold broth, and it surprisingly goes really well together!!

Flounder and squid fritters at 15,000 won, plus grilled flounder
The flounder-squid fritters at Oneuldo Gajami are 15,000 won. The squid fritters had great reviews so I had to try them — freshly fried, super crispy and delicious!!

Soft and chewy — honestly the best squid fritters I've ever had.

The flounder comes grilled in two pieces, cooked super crispy with soft, tender flesh — not too salty even eaten on its own, clean-tasting, and also great over rice.

It was so good I ordered another bowl lol. Ordered one more because it was so tasty, and it was tasty again.

The free spicy fish stew that comes with every mulhoe
When you order mulhoe at Oneuldo Gajami, they also bring out a spicy fish stew. The combo of a bowl of rice, icy mulhoe, and stew feels like great value! Prices you just don't see in Seoul anymore...

There's more fish in the stew than you'd expect, and the broth is genuinely spicy and delicious — I think it would've been even better eaten out on the tent terrace haha.
With the icy flounder mulhoe and spicy stew combo, I left Oneuldo Gajami in Pohang full and happy. You can try a variety of flounder dishes here — flounder sashimi and mulhoe, plus grilled flounder and squid fritters. Recommended for group gatherings or anyone looking for a spot with that outdoor tent-restaurant vibe!
