Where is Jonggak-ap Nosang near Jonggak Station?
Jonggak-ap Nosang (고기꾼김춘배 종로직영점) is a 3–4 minute walk from Jonggak Station Exit 4, on the 5th floor of the building that houses Sinchon Hwangso Gopchang. I'm going to tell you about the BBQ place near Jonggak Station that I went to last week! ˚ෆ*₊ It's open daily 12:00–23:00, with last order at 22:00.
When you get out of the elevator you'll see flowers and a standing sign. Go left to a wooden door, push it open, and a meat fridge is right there in front of you~~
Inside Jonggak-ap Nosang: atmosphere and seating
The interior has wood-tone decor and yellow lighting, so it feels cozy, and there are lots of seats!! ✨✨ The wooden partitions are tall, so it's great for talking too haha

What's on the menu? Is there a foreign-language menu?
The menu is split into hanwoo (Korean beef) + Korean pork, hanwoo, and Korean pork, and they also sell sets by type of meat and by cut, so it's easy to order to your taste haha The side menu is solid too, and I was impressed that they offer a foreign-language menu, probably because they get lots of foreign guests!
++ They're also running a receipt-review event for the beef brisket doenjang stew, so keep that in mind >.<
Side dishes served with the Korean BBQ
The basic side dishes include lettuce, spring onion salad, pickled garlic stems, white kimchi, green onion kimchi, meljeot (salted fermented fish dip) and more, a really solid lineup ~.~

The set for two: today's hanwoo, pork neck and pork belly
The recommended set is a set for two made up of today's hanwoo (150g) + pork neck (200g) + pork belly (150g). Ta-daaa~~~ Isn't that a great lineup? The hanwoo marbling is a work of art, and it just looks so pretty from the start,,,

Do the staff grill the meat? Starting with hanwoo sirloin
The staff grill every single piece for you, so all you have to do is eat!!! A place that grills for you is the best,, They started with the hanwoo sirloin haha
Sizzling and glossy~~ the hanwoo cooking up so nicely ( ◜⤙◝ )♡
The side dishes and sauces were varied, so I could try different combos with each bite haha The green onion kimchi was insanely good,, Once the meat is cooked, they cut it into bite-size pieces and set it out for you.

See how tender and moist it is,, Soft and bursting with juice, grilled to just the right doneness, so so good T_T

Charcoal-scented pork neck, my friend's favorite cut
Once you start eating the meat they've grilled and set out, they put the next cut on right away so there's never a gap. So thoughtful!! The next cut was pork neck haha Thick, right?

Half-and-half naengmyeon, the cold noodles to have with Korean BBQ
It just feels wrong to have meat without naengmyeon (cold noodles)~~~~ Honestly I like both bibim naengmyeon (spicy) and mul naengmyeon (broth), so I always agonize or order different ones with my friend and share, but Gogikkun Kim Chunbae has a half-and-half naengmyeon, so there was no need to decide, which I loved so much >.<
Pork neck and mushrooms turning golden and delicious, meat and mushrooms is such a good combo ,,🤍🤍

The staff kept looking after the pork neck and grilled it perfectly. It was thick and, above all, had a lovely charcoal aroma, so I enjoyed it so much~~ My friend said the pork neck was the best 💗

Best way to eat the pork neck: garlic sauce, mushrooms and white kimchi
Put mushrooms and white kimchi on garlic sauce and take a big bite with the grilled pork neck,, juicy and so good!!!! I recommend the pork neck. Of course the hanwoo was also really good haha

Does the kkakdugi fried rice come out right away?
The kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi) fried rice is a side dish that comes fully made, so you can eat it right away without waiting until you finish the meat. I love fried rice at BBQ places, and this was so nice 🫶🏻
It had lots of meat in it too, so good haha If you're a carb lover like me, I totally recommend the kkakdugi fried rice too~~~
The last cut and how much two people ate
Last, they grilled the pork belly, thick and chewy and so delicious 🤤 If two people order one recommended set, it's a generous and tasty meal, totally full!!
The BBQ grill, wiped totally clean,, If you're looking for a Jongno BBQ restaurant near Jonggak, Gwanghwamun or Cheonggyecheon, I highly recommend Jonggak-ap Nosang (Gogikkun Kim Chunbae Jongno Direct Store) ෆ
