A shabu-shabu restaurant within walking distance of Yeongjong hotels: Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch
Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch (편편집 영종하늘도시점) is a shabu-shabu spot near Guyeupbaetteo that you can walk to from Yeongjong hotels. Here's my write-up of this Incheon Yeongjong shabu-shabu place, which I walked to from my hotel.

I stayed one night at a hotel on Yeongjong Island in Incheon, and while wondering where to go for dinner, I ended up at Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch, which is reachable on foot from the hotel.
Apparently children eat for just ₩1,000 on weekday evenings.

What are the atmosphere and seats like at Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch?
The restaurant is spacious and clean, with city-view window seats and plenty of group seating. I usually love shabu-shabu, and since this place offers the steam pot and rice paper rolls too, I came with high expectations.
The wide, tidy space caught my eye the moment I walked in. The window seats let you eat while enjoying the city view, and there was plenty of group seating, so it looked good for family meals or get-togethers. There are even seats where pets are allowed, which pet owners will be happy about.
The place I visited is an all-you-can-eat restaurant where you can enjoy a steam pot (cedar-wood steamer, pyeonbaek-jjim), shabu-shabu and rice paper rolls (wolnamssam) all at once.

You check the menu and order on the tablet at your table. The screen glared in the light, so I grabbed the menu from the website instead. The biggest draw here is being able to try so many different dishes in one go.

How does the steam pot at Pyeonpyeonjip come out?
At Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch, the steam pot comes out first. A staff member set a timer, then came back to lift the lid when it was done. While it steamed, I went to the self-bar, grabbed vegetables and made rice paper rolls.
As soon as the lid came off, the gentle scent of cedar spread and made me hungry. The fresh meat and vegetables were steamed moist, and it felt like a healthy meal.

The meat was clean-tasting with no gamey smell, which I liked.

Which shabu-shabu broth did I pick? Half seafood, half spicy seafood
For the shabu-shabu you can choose among seafood broth, spicy seafood broth, bone broth mala and more. I asked for shabu-shabu after finishing the steam pot, and refill broth for the shabu-shabu was also set out, which was handy.
I like a clean taste, so I went half plain seafood broth and half spicy seafood broth, and the deep, refreshing flavor was really good.

Boiling vegetables and meat as you go naturally stretches out the meal. Pyeonpyeonjip reportedly uses organic vegetables sourced from a farm in Yeoju. Maybe that's why each vegetable tasted fresh and had a nice crunch. Fresh vegetables make shabu-shabu so much more satisfying, so I'd give high marks there.

Rice paper rolls and the self-bar
You can't skip the rice paper rolls at Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch. Piling meat and vegetables onto rice paper and rolling it up made a healthy yet filling meal. You can combine as many ingredients as you like, so it seemed to suit everyone from kids to adults.
Self-bar
The salad bar was well stocked too. Fresh vegetables, fruit and salad, plus unlimited meat, meant nothing felt lacking. You can take as much as you want, so the value was great, and I could see why so many families come.
Is it okay with kids? Kids' corner and play room
Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch has a kids' corner with a claw machine and a play room for little ones. That's a big plus for families visiting with children.

The kids have fun in the play room while parents eat more leisurely, so I thought it would work well for a family gathering in Yeongjong Sky City.

A famous mukbang YouTuber seems to have visited too, since videos kept playing.
Meat zone
You can eat as much meat as you like at Pyeonpyeonjip. There are two meat zones in the restaurant, which was convenient. My husband and I don't eat much, and we had meat left over from the steam pot, so we only went once for shabu-shabu meat, this much.

Why it's a good stop on a Yeongjong hotel stay or an Inspire visit
Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch had healthy food, generous portions and a comfortable space. Lots of restaurants have been opening on Yeongjong lately, but this one was satisfying even among them.

If you're looking for a meal before or after visiting Inspire, I think you'd be happy here. It's also easy to get to, so I'd recommend it as an Inspire-area lunch spot.

If you're planning a Yeongjong trip or hotel stay, I recommend Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch, a good meal you can stroll to from the hotel.

It was a satisfying lunch, with steam pot, shabu-shabu and rice paper rolls all in one hearty, healthy meal.
