I visited Mad Hair (마드헤어) in Seokchon-dong because seasonal scalp flakes had been bothering me. This time, I had a men’s cut along with a scalp treatment called Suke Healing.
Where is Mad Hair, and what treatment did I receive?
Mad Hair is on the second floor at 47 Songpa-daero 49-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul. Even after washing my hair, my scalp had felt congested and not fully refreshed, so I decided to get a cut and scalp treatment at the same time.
Was the waiting area comfortable?
The salon had a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. I especially liked being able to see Lotte Tower from the window. Looking outside while I waited during the appointment kept the space from feeling closed in and made it feel restful.
The stylist was kind, so I felt at ease even on my first visit. They also brought me drinks and snacks while I waited, and those small gestures felt thoughtful.
How did the Suke Healing pressure and after-feeling compare?
Suke Healing was what I had been looking forward to most on this visit. The treatment involved softening the scalp flakes before clearing them away.
The pressure felt cool and refreshing rather than overly painful or uncomfortable. It felt like every part of my scalp was being treated, and it left me feeling more refreshed than I usually do after shampooing alone. The flakes that had bothered me also felt cleared away, so my scalp felt noticeably fresher right afterward.
What did I like about the men’s cut?
The cut was tidied overall to suit the style I wanted. In particular, the side and back lines were trimmed with balance, making the result look neater. We were able to chat comfortably throughout, so the appointment time did not feel awkward.
How was getting the cut and scalp treatment together?
I was happy to be able to tidy my hairstyle and get scalp care in the same visit. The neat lines after the cut and the refreshed feeling after Suke Healing were what stayed with me most.
The kind service and window view of Lotte Tower also made the waiting time comfortable. I left thinking I would like to try a women’s perm next time.
