Which product did I use for my first DIY oil-film removal?

I had only recently bought my car, so I became interested in car care. To take care of the windshield while doing a DIY car wash, I used AutoGrooming Clean View car windshield oil-film remover 120g.

I was directed to Smart Store as the place to buy it. The product I received was carefully packaged, and the delivery felt quick too.

What did I prepare before applying it to the windshield?

At the self-service hand car wash, I first cleaned the dirty windshield thoroughly. I dried it with a car-wash towel I already had, then used the product. Opening the cap while it is facing downward can cause the solution to spill out, so I held it with the cap facing upward when opening it.

What was the towel application and rinsing process like?

To compare the treated and untreated areas, I first used two or three drops on part of the windshield. It was a white solution that I applied to the glass and then wiped.

It was handy that one work towel came with the product. I spread the solution evenly with the towel, then wiped in straight lines.

Since I could use high-pressure water at the self-service car wash, rinsing was easy. Once I sprayed water and washed away all the solution, the job was done, so the process felt simple.

How did the treated and untreated areas differ?

To my eyes, the difference between the area where I used the solution and the area where I did not was clear. The section where cloudy water residue had remained became clean, so I felt it helped clean the glass as well as remove the oil film.

After checking the difference in one section, I worked on the whole windshield. It was my first time removing an oil film myself, but it was not as difficult as I expected. I was also happy to save the cost of having the oil film removed professionally by doing it myself.

Finally, I sprayed water on it again to check the condition. The windshield also felt clean when I went for a drive after washing the car. The amount felt generous, and the price seemed reasonable to me, so it was a product I would like to buy again.

I hoped it would also help when visibility is uncomfortable on rainy days or because of light glare. I was told that it has good durability, does not cause whitening on rubber or plastic trim, and can also be used on bathroom shower booths. These are separate product claims, not results I confirmed during this windshield wash.
