Why did I start using a car glass oil-film remover?
When I was doing self-car washes, I kept noticing the oil film left on the car glass. On rainy or humid days, the windshield and rear window looked glarey, and even after running the wipers, the film remained, making my view feel frustratingly hazy.

A friend recommended AutoGrooming Clean View Car Glass Oil-Film Remover 120g as a self-car-wash product, so I gave it a try.

How much rubbing did it take, and how long did it take?
I applied a small amount to the glass, then rubbed it lightly with a soft towel. On the glass I worked on, it felt like the oil film was gone after about five passes. Some products I had used before needed much harder rubbing, but this time I could do the job with less force.

I worked on the windshield, rear window, and side-mirror glass. It took about 30 minutes to do all the glass on the car, and because the process was simple, it did not feel like a major burden during a self-car wash.
How did the car glass change after use?
Beforehand, glare remained on the glass when it caught the light, but afterward it felt clearer and more transparent. My view while driving felt more comfortable, and I felt that wiper noise decreased and water was cleared away more smoothly.
It also felt as though the oil film returned more slowly during the rainy season or in humid weather, so I was happy with how well it held up after washing.

What was it like on bathroom shower-booth glass?
I also tried it on the bathroom shower-booth glass. It used to take a long time to clean the cloudy glass surface, but this time it became clearer and cleaner after a few rubs, making the job easier.

Was I satisfied with the size and ease of use?
One 120g container felt like an appropriate amount because I could use it for both vehicle glass and household glass cleaning. I did not need to use much at once, and it used fewer towels than some products I had used before. I also liked that it did not dry out quickly while I was working.
After removing the oil film, the glass surfaces looked shiny, so the car’s exterior looked cleaner too. As someone who does self-car washes often, I was pleased that the work became easier.

Some products I used before were cumbersome to work with, or I could barely notice a difference. Clean View had a simple process, and on the glass I cleaned, I could feel that the glare had decreased.

I was satisfied with using it for both car care and bathroom glass cleaning, so I would consider buying it again once I finish it.
