A cute puppy illustration. Is it a Maltese? haha

Fitting for a café near Ajou University in Suwon, they sell Suwon mascot goods (Suwoni) and also a collaboration of Jeong Ji-young Coffee beans.

There's a self-serve bar for water and a return bar for your finished tray.
What desserts and drinks does Jo Hui-tak Coffee serve?

There are egg tarts, chocolate baguettes, assorted cookies, financiers and more. Takeout is possible too, and plenty of delivery orders were coming in at this Ajou University dessert spot.

The menu runs from coffee to lattes, milk tea, ades, juices and teas, plus cakes and fruit sandwiches. Perfect for a snack while you work on your laptop.

Slices of cake, fruit sandos, the variety of desserts is huge. There are injeolmi (roasted rice cake) salt bread and castella salt bread too, and a thick, nicely baked Basque cheesecake was cooling.

I always think the original is the best for desserts, so I wanted a plain salt bread, but it was sold out... They also had hotteok (sweet filled pancake) and chapssal-tteok (glutinous rice cake) salt bread.

Pizza, sweet potato pizza and fire-chicken sweet potato pizza salt breads, haha. Lots of quirky items, as a dessert spot should have.

Red bean butter salt bread and choco salt bread! We decided on one choco salt bread!
Are Jo Hui-tak Coffee's back seats good for studying?
As the sign at the entrance says, if you walk straight back into the café, a wide, nicely atmospheric space opens up. Cozy and warm, it looks great for a laptop-work date.
There are chargers all around, so lots of guests were on laptops. With sofa seats and cozy corners here and there, it was packed with students chatting and couples on dates.

Outside food isn't allowed. The Wi-Fi is strong and, as you can see, outlets are everywhere, so it was easy to work without worrying.
Free americano refill and iced chamomile: how much?

We ordered two drinks and one dessert. And the fork is so cute, by the way.

- Nutty iced americano ₩5,500
- Decaf +₩800 (free swap with a pregnancy badge)
- Fragrant iced chamomile tea ₩6,000

With one drink per person, you get one free americano refill. The americano was nutty and good, and this makes me want to keep coming back...
Look at the delicate sticky note on the tea bag, haha! Many places don't add one, so the tea bag sometimes slips into the cup, but here I could stick it at whatever height I liked and peel it off again. The iced chamomile was refreshing, cool and tasty.
How does Jo Hui-tak Coffee's choco salt bread taste?

The textbook sweet-and-salty combo: the choco salt bread at Jo Hui-tak Coffee is ₩5,800.

Don't assume it's only lightly chocolate-coated on the outside!! It's packed with chocolate all the way through. Rich chocolate in every layer, and big smiles all around.
Yes! This is it! This is exactly what I wanted to eat!
Bamsong (the writer's partner) says: really delicious choco salt bread! There's chocolate all over the outside too, so it's chewy and sweet and so good. As a salt bread should be, it's nicely salty with a good butter aroma, a dessert that pairs well with coffee or tea. Recommended!
Would we return to Jo Hui-tak Coffee, and where is the restroom?

Jo Hui-tak Coffee was a lovely, cozy dessert spot near Ajou University. We have a lot of travel plans to settle within October, but we promised to come back soon, enjoy the tasty desserts and coffee, and spend time here.

The restroom is inside the café, right across from the counter. There were guests so I couldn't take a photo, but it was very clean, which I liked!

Looking for a dessert spot near Ajou University? A good café for laptop work? A café with a nice atmosphere? A café for a laptop-work date? I recommend Jo Hui-tak Coffee!
