Suwon bagel café on a heatwave day: iced orange latte, Orange Bagel
In short
Orange Bagel is a large bakery café in a three-story standalone building on Omokcheon-ro in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon. On a midsummer heatwave day, two friends ordered the Laugen butter bagel (6,900 won), the crab and shrimp bagel (8,500 won), a basil bagel, a decaf iced americano and the signature iced orange latte (7,500 won), ate on the second floor and gave up on the third-floor rooftop because of the heat. Both friends raved about Orange Bagel's sweet-and-salty, fluffy Laugen butter bagel, the standout of the visit.

A bread lover feels most alive eating delicious bread.

I especially love bagels, and nothing makes me happier than finding a great bagel shop. I'm also a huge fan of brunch cafés, so whenever I spot a pretty large café, I save it to my map right away!

Let me introduce Orange Bagel, a large Suwon bakery café that opens early at 7:30am and is known as one of the best bagel spots in Suwon.
Orange Bagel's location, hours, and parking
Orange Bagel is a large bakery café located at 129 Omokcheon-ro, Gwonseon-gu, Suwon. It's open from 07:30 to 21:00, with last order at 20:30.

This Suwon bagel spot has a large parking lot right in front of the building, so it's convenient by car, but there are also plenty of buses running directly from Suwon Station, so it was easy to visit on foot too.

Blue sky, fluffy clouds, and a scorching hot August afternoon that made me feel like a dumpling in a steamer. My friend Olive and I decided it was finally time for a girls' hangout at Orange Bagel, this large Suwon café — let's go!

Meeting the mascot dog 'Kevin' and checking out the goods
This is Kevin, the adorable dachshund mascot of Orange Bagel. From the exterior to the interior, you'll spot cute, tastefully designed images of Kevin everywhere.
The merchandise sold at Orange Bagel gives off a real travel-abroad feel, and it's genuinely fun to browse.
Bagel display and menu lineup at Orange Bagel
A famous bagel spot — such a treat for the eyes! Rows of plump, chunky bagels line up, waiting to be chosen. There are also refrigerated sandwich bagels, plus a variety of cream cheeses you can buy alongside.

They also carry a wide range of beer, sparkling water, and canned and bottled drinks.

Good Morning Set (7,500 won) — Set A comes with an americano, plain bagel, and cream cheese; Set B comes with a plain bagel and mushroom soup. A set menu with soup, very fitting for a large brunch café.

They also have a variety of refreshing summer bingsu (shaved ice) and summer drinks ready to go.

They also run bulk order, event catering, and regular supply services.

From the 1st floor to the 3rd floor rooftop: what's the space like?
Orange Bagel is a large, standalone three-story bakery café. The 1st floor is where you order, and it also has spacious seating in the back.

The 2nd floor has a variety of themed spaces. There's plenty of group seating too, so you can see all kinds of guests — families, friend groups, and more. The bright natural light makes it a great spot for pretty photos.

I was thinking 'this is so nice~' when I spotted Kevin, haha — so cute.
The 3rd floor is an outdoor rooftop, but on the day we visited, a double heat dome made it the perfect day to get steamed like a human dumpling, so we skipped it. Just a note: the pager signal doesn't reach the 3rd floor outdoor space! Every space here is so pretty though... whoever designed the interior really has great taste.

The 3 bagels and 2 drinks we ordered
After much deliberation among the countless bagels, we carefully carried our 3 bagels and 2 drinks up to the 2nd floor. Basil bagel, crab shrimp bagel, Laugen bagel — the savory bread smell was making my mouth water...

Decaf iced americano, iced orange latte.

Decaf iced americano, 6,000 won
The decaf iced americano is 6,000 won (5,500 won plus a 500 won charge to switch to decaf). The beans weren't bitter and had a nice nutty flavor. Because it comes in a stainless steel cup, no condensation forms on the outside, so it stayed cold and refreshing until the very last sip. Orange Bagel's americano pairs well with the bagels.

Iced orange latte, 7,500 won
The iced orange latte is 7,500 won. For the signature iced drink, they recommend the nutty bean option. Since it's called Orange Bagel, you have to try the signature orange drink at least once — that's what Olive said as she ordered the orange latte, haha.
They recommended nutty beans over beans with acidity for the iced drink, and the result was a strange, wonderful flavor where orange scent and coffee scent blend harmoniously into smooth, nutty milk. The first sip is coffee aroma, then orange fragrance spreads, and the smooth milk texture fills your mouth.

Laugen butter bagel, 6,900 won
Recommended! The Laugen butter bagel is 6,900 won. Wonderfully fluffy Laugen butter bagel. Here's what the cross-section looks like!
The outside of the bagel tasted sweet, almost like it had syrup brushed on, with a salty edge from the salt. The butter was very smooth with deep flavor. Not chewy in a tough way but pleasantly chewy and fluffy — this Laugen butter bagel was genuinely delicious. As befits a popular brunch café, Olive raved that she'd want to buy it often if it were sold in her neighborhood!

Sweet and salty. Great umami. A Laugen butter bagel you keep reaching for.
Crab shrimp bagel, 8,500 won
The crab shrimp bagel is 8,500 won. The visual is fantastic! I wondered if it might be spicy, so I got curious and picked it up.

It felt like eating a shrimp dish! The sauce inside was very smooth and sweet, with just the faintest hint of spice. Packed with vegetables, shrimp, and crab meat, it had a fun crunchy, springy texture. After one bite, Olive said it tasted like eating crab meat pasta!

Any leftover bagels get neatly packed into a takeout bag to bring home!
Restroom location

The restrooms at this brunch café, Orange Bagel, are located inside the building! They're kept clean and are separated by gender, making them pleasant to use.
