Even while using my PC, I often keep my phone right in front of me to check it. Especially when I was using wired charging with a USB-C cable, it was awkward to decide where to put my phone and at what height. So I tried the 비티냐 360° Rotating Portable MagSafe Stand, which lets you adjust the angle.
What comes in the box?
The box that arrived was smaller than I expected. It listed the product information, size, material, and color.
When I opened the box, there was the stand itself wrapped in plastic, two MagSafe stickers, and one hex key. The stickers are for attaching to cases without MagSafe functionality. My current case is a MagSafe one, so I did not use the stickers. I wondered whether the hex key was for securing the angle-adjustment parts, but I could not confirm exactly what it was for.
Did it wobble when used on a desk?
The flat base felt heavier than I expected. A stand I used briefly before kept wobbling whenever I put my phone on it, which was inconvenient, but this one has a non-slip base and did not wobble while I used it.
What I especially liked was seeing the clock displayed while my phone was mounted and charging.
The head where the phone attaches is round and about 6 cm across. The magnet felt strong, and even when I lifted my phone while it was attached, the stand did not fall off during my use.
When was it useful to adjust the angle and height?
There are three rotating joints. The center joint adjusts 360°, while the upper and lower joints each adjust 180°. I could stand it vertically from the desk or lay it horizontally. That said, I felt I would hardly ever use the horizontal position.
Setting it low was convenient for taking close-up shots with my phone or watching videos that need frequent screen taps, such as online lectures. A lower position was also more comfortable than a high one when typing.
Did it hold well with both a case and finger strap attached?
The phone I used was an iPhone 16 Plus. Even with a MagSafe case and finger strap attached, it did not fall or wobble. It held firmly, while I could still smoothly turn my phone from landscape to portrait.
How bulky is it folded, and how did the joints feel after use?
It folds flat, just as it was when I first took it out of the box. Looking at its folded size, I thought it would be fine to carry around or take on a trip. At its tallest, it was about 10 cm high, and the rounded-square base was also close to 10 cm long.
There was a slightly weighty resistance when I folded it with one hand. The movement became a little smoother than when I first used it, but the angle never drooped or slipped weakly during use. The base is weighty, but the secure hold and easy angle adjustment earned it my personal score of 9.5 out of 10.
