Why I wanted a portable stand for my iPad
I use my iPad often. I mainly use it for work, especially for taking notes with an Apple Pencil. I also watch videos on YouTube or Netflix, so I had been looking for a stand that would be easy to carry around. One that rotates and folds up, making it portable when I go out.

Packaging and the silver-and-gray design
The 비티냐 stand I used this time came in a compact rectangular box. There was no separate instruction manual included, but the clear explanations printed on the box were enough.

Inside the box, the stand was safely packed between three pieces of Styrofoam. Once I took it out, I loved the simple build and the sleek silver and gray metal finish—it is exactly my style. The base is silver, with gray used only for the non-slip sections, so it looks understated enough to use anywhere.

Folded size and reassuring weight
When folded, it is slightly smaller than an iPad mini, and it weighs just over 400 g. That is a little less than the weight of two phones, but it actually made me feel that it would hold an iPad Pro or another brand's tablet securely without any wobbliness.

Three hinges and a support panel that allows charging
비티냐 has three hinges in total. The hinge connecting the 12.5 cm × 12.5 cm square base with rounded edges to the stem rotates 360°. Rather than moving completely smoothly, it clicks slightly into position as you adjust the angle. All three hinges can rotate 180°.
The 8.4 cm × 11.2 cm upper support panel has non-slip silicone pads in four places. The center of its lower edge is open, so you can charge a phone or tablet while using it.

Angles for watching videos and writing with an Apple Pencil
When using a tablet on a desk or table, I often set it up horizontally like this. But the angle for watching videos can differ from the one for reading an e-book, and the three hinges let me adjust it to exactly the angle I want.
Because it is metal, it can feel a little stiff, though that seemed like something that comes with it being new. Honestly, I felt much more at ease knowing it had some weight to it and needed a little force to change angle, rather than spinning around too easily. It needs to feel sturdy to safely hold electronics that cost far more than the stand itself.

What it felt like at the highest and lowest settings
On the left, I raised the stand to its maximum height. The overall height is about 24 cm, while the tablet support sits at about 15 cm.
On the right, I lowered it as far as possible while adjusting the angle of the support panel. That is just about the height I need when writing or drawing with an Apple Pencil. The silicone pads prevent slipping, keeping it safely in place. The lower edge of the support panel may feel a little uncomfortable on the wrist, but that will vary by person, so it is best to adjust it to your own way of working.
The rotating foldable 비티냐 stand works well as both a tablet stand and a phone stand. It is perfectly suitable for using off to the side of a desk, and its foldable design makes it easy to carry without feeling burdensome at a study café or café. I think it would be especially useful for students watching online lectures.
