Sokcho bar after a 3-hour drive: spicy chicken feet set at Seo Jubang

Today I visited Seo Jubang (서주방), a popular spot on Sokcho's pojangmacha (street tent bar) strip!

I enjoyed a hearty Sokcho set of drinking snacks (jusang) at Seo Jubang, a late-night bar by Sokcho's Yeongnang Beach 🌊💙

Where is Seo Jubang and what are its hours?

Seo Jubang is at 12 Yeongnanghaean 6-gil, Sokcho-si, Gangwon, South Korea (ground floor), a one-minute walk from Yeongnang Beach. It's open Sun–Thu 18:00–03:00 and Fri–Sat 18:00–04:00, so you can still get a drink even if you arrive at dawn.

An easy-to-find bar on Sokcho's pojangmacha street, even before dawn

I got to Sokcho in the early hours and wanted a casual drink, so I came to Seo Jubang, a late-night bar by Yeongnang Beach!

Seo Jubang is bright even from far away, and it looks clean with a great vibe, so I found it right away even at dawn ✨

You can check the menu before going in, but the moment I saw the Sokcho set I was like, that's the one! and walked right in. If you're in Sokcho, you have to eat seafood 😝

What are Seo Jubang's interior and group seating like?

The inside of Seo Jubang is clean and spacious, with a separate group area at the back. It's so tidy and has such a nice mood that it's perfect for a stop on a Sokcho trip! The space is big, so it looked great for a group dinner too!

Seo Jubang has a special tomato flounder mulhoe (cold raw fish soup)!! I love both tomatoes and mulhoe and wanted to try it, but my friend doesn't like it, so sadly I skipped it 🥹🥹

There's a separate group area at the back, so it's really ideal for a group dinner on Sokcho's pojangmacha street 🖤 If you're looking for group seating there, I recommend Seo Jubang!

It's a late-night bar by Yeongnang Beach, so even after arriving late it was a nice place to have a drink by the sea.

Seo Jubang is known for its mulhoe, so I agonized, but the Sokcho set already comes with lots of seafood, so I picked spicy chicken feet as the main!

How was the spicy chicken feet Sokcho Juansang set?

And here comes the main, Seo Jubang's signature Sokcho set ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 What is going on with that presentation 🤩 It really deserves its reputation as a top spot for drinking snacks in Sokcho⁉️

Main dish: spicy chicken feet (buldakbal)

The spicy chicken feet I chose as the main are made with Seo Jubang's special sauce, and they were spicier than I expected 🌶️ Deliciously hot, and having a drink with them and the bean sprouts melted away the tiredness from my 3-hour drive ☺️☺️

Abai sundae (stuffed squid sausage)

And the Abai sundae (Sokcho-style stuffed blood sausage) in the set was really soft and tasty! I was so surprised at the first bite, haha

Scallop and squid sukhoe with side dishes

The scallop and squid sukhoe (blanched seafood slices) were also so tender and delicious! When you get a little tired of seafood, the white kimchi is just right, haha. And the potato salad and the pollock roe mayo cool down the heat when the chicken feet get too spicy, so you can keep going.

Seo Jubang is a late-night bar by Yeongnang Beach with a great mood and great snacks, so it was perfect for a Sokcho trip 🥰❣️ The group seating is well set up too, so I recommend it for group trips to Sokcho as a group-dinner spot on the pojangmacha street 👍🏻👍🏻
