Sinnonhyeon bakery: salt bread display and croissant, Bakerist Brown
In short
Bakerist Brown is a large bakery café in Gangnam, Seoul, between Sinnonhyeon and Gangnam stations, spread over four floors from basement level 1 to the 3rd floor. After browsing the 1st-floor display of constantly restocked salt bread, pastries and kouign-amann, we ordered a croissant for 4,600 won, salt bread for 3,500 won, a 6-piece Gangnam Sand set for 14,000 won and salt cream coffee for 7,800 won. On a hot day, the basement seats at Bakerist Brown are the best choice because they were the coolest in the café.

I visited Bakerist Brown, a huge café in Gangnam that runs from basement 1 up to the 3rd floor. It sits between Sinnonhyeon and Gangnam stations, so it's easy to get to, and the bakery selection is seriously wide.

What we ordered and the prices
At Bakerist Brown we ordered salt cream coffee (₩7,800), a Gangnam Sand set of 6 (₩14,000), salt bread (₩3,500) and a croissant (₩4,600).
- Salt cream coffee (₩7,800)
- Gangnam Sand set, 6 pieces (₩14,000)
- Salt bread (₩3,500)
- Croissant (₩4,600)
Croissant (₩4,600)
A classic croissant where you can see every single layer. The nutty butter flavor and crispy texture are top-notch, so I highly recommend it if you love plain, basic bread.
Salt bread (₩3,500)
As you'd expect from a Gangnam Station bakery known for salt bread, it's a must-order! Crispy outside, chewy inside, and the butter flavor fills your whole mouth.

Gangnam Sand set, 6 pieces (₩14,000)
I bet the Gangnam Sand is really popular as a gift! The rich butter aroma and sweet sand cream go together beautifully. The 6-piece set is perfect for giving as a present or enjoying as dessert at home.

Salt cream coffee (₩7,800)
The signature coffee, topped with soft, sweet-and-salty cream. The combo of that cream with bitter espresso goes really well with the baked goods!
If you're looking for a big café around Gangnam or Sinnonhyeon, or a café with lots of bakery choices, I recommend Bakerist Brown!

Which floor has the best seats?
Bakerist Brown has lots of space from the basement to the 3rd floor, so it's nice for chatting. The 1st floor where you order and basement 1 were the coolest and most comfortable in the whole place. If you visit on a hot day, I'd recommend the basement 1 seats.
