Gyeongju fruit mochi shop: persimmon burst after 5 hours, Tareudang
Tareudang is a fruit mochi and tart takeout dessert shop at the entrance to Hwangnidang-gil in Gyeongju. Three mochi — persimmon, mango and peach — bought at 2pm on a walking trip and opened at home five hours later: the persimmon had burst, while the mango and peach still held their shape, and the peach yogurt mochi was the favorite. If you plan to carry Tareudang mochi around for hours, pick a firmer fruit than persimmon.
