Why did I look for a cleansing balm for dry skin?

I was concerned about blackheads around my nose and forehead, and because I have dry skin, I usually used an oil or cleansing balm to remove makeup. I tried several methods, but sometimes the effects were temporary or my skin felt irritated.

How did a small amount feel, and how well did it remove makeup?

I scooped out a small amount with the spatula, spread it over my skin, and rubbed it in with my hands. I felt that even about one-fifth of the amount scooped out for the photo—much less than what is shown—spread on in a thin layer.

Another cleansing balm I had been using at home tended to need a generous amount before it emulsified and removed makeup, but this one removed my eyeliner and mascara with just a small amount. Since the formula is black, it could look as though it had spread everywhere, but I did not actually use much.

How did my skin feel afterward?

I liked the moisturizing texture from the first use, and my skin did not feel dry afterward. For me, my blackheads looked less noticeable and my pores looked cleaner.

Still, reactions to cleansing products can vary by skin type. I was satisfied when I used it to remove makeup from my dry skin.
