Charcoal cleansing foam for dry skin: HEEDA Jirisan
In short
HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal Hydrating Cleansing Foam is a low-pH cleanser I used in Korea for about a week, before work and after returning home. It removed sunscreen and light base makeup well, while my cheeks felt less tight after washing; squeezing out the last of the tube was less convenient.

How did it feel after a week of use?
With many days of fine dust and sunscreen use overlapping, I tried this while looking for something that cleansed well but left less tightness afterward. After using it consistently for about a week, my skin felt less dry and tight even after removing makeup on days when I worked late.
The grayish foam had a creamy texture, and once lathered in my hands, it spread over my face without dragging roughly. After rinsing, my dry cheek area felt relatively comfortable, and I could use it without stinging even on days when my skin felt sensitive.
Did it remove sunscreen and light makeup well?

On days when I wore only sunscreen before work, I used it as a standalone cleanser and it felt refreshing. It also tended to remove light base makeup cleanly. The blackheads beside my nose looked less noticeable afterward, though that is based on my own experience.
Adding a little water and rolling it over my skin for about 30 seconds left a smooth finish. I used only a small amount before work and made plenty of foam after returning home.
What were the foam and packaging like?
The 150ml tube was convenient to keep in the bathroom. It had matte black packaging and a subtle grassy scent that was not strong. However, I did have to press and squeeze it to use the product near the end of the tube.

How did I use it?
I dispensed about a bean-sized amount onto hands with little water and made plenty of foam first. Gently rolling it from my cheeks to my T-zone helped reduce the feeling of irritation. A foaming net or cleansing sponge could produce foam even with a small amount.
Which skin types did it suit?
I used it comfortably despite having dry cheeks and on days when my skin felt sensitive. It may be worth considering for dry or sensitive skin when looking for a cleanser that leaves less tightness after washing, or for oily skin as a light morning cleanser. Skin reactions can vary by person.
