A handmade burger found on a Seoulsup walk: Bas Burger Seongsu
Bas Burger Seongsu has a reputation as a go-to handmade burger spot near Seoulsup. Last weekend the weather was gorgeous, and I was walking around Seoulsup with friends when we got hungry. I really love a high-quality handmade burger, and I'd heard there was a good place nearby, so we headed straight there!

Since it's already well known as a Seoulsup burger place, my expectations were really high. The moment I opened the door, the smell of delicious meat hit me right at the entrance and my steps got faster, haha. The menu lineup I tried at Bas Burger Seongsu today was so good that I was in a great mood before even eating. Let me tell you about it fresh, just as I felt it

right away. Even the atmosphere and the easy ordering system were appealing, haha.
Where is Bas Burger Seongsu and what is the atmosphere like?
Bas Burger Seongsu is really close, about a 2-minute walk from Ttukseom Station. It's also near Seoulsup, so it's a perfect spot to visit before or after a walk. The hip, clean vibe the moment you step in won me over.

Tablet ordering, pets allowed, opening hours
At Bas Burger Seongsu you can sit down and order and pay in one go on the tablet at each table, which is really nice. Pets are allowed too, and I saw quite a few guests with their cute dogs on the outdoor terrace seats. The opening hours are 11:00 to 20:45 on weekends

and until 21:15 on weekdays, so there's no time pressure when you visit.
Bas Burger and Bas Lager: the perfect Seoulsup burger combo
My main at Bas Burger Seongsu was the Bas Burger, the most basic yet signature item. The softness of the pastry bun and the juicy patty came together in the mouth beautifully. Pairing it with a glass of cold Bas Lager beer, ahh~~~ all the greasiness of the burger vanished and it felt so clean.
Free refills of fresh potato chips at the self-serve bar
At the self-serve bar on one side of the shop, you can take fresh potato chips called James Gam (제임스감) as much as you like, for free

and that was a big plus. Being able to keep refilling for free is huge, but crunchy chips with cold beer in this hot, humid summer weather is a combination I hardly need to explain, it's just so appealing T_T Maybe thanks to this generous setup, it seems popular with people looking for a handmade burger place near Seoulsup, haha. It's a spot that draws not only locals but also people from other neighborhoods like me!!!

What cheese sides does Bas Burger have?
The cheese-packed sides at Bas Burger Seongsu are tempting too. I love anything with cheese, and it's not just a plain cheese bar side: there's a Mozzarella Cheese Bar made by deep-frying whole mozzarella, a chili version called the Chili Mozzarella Cheese Bar, and even a chicken bar like a chicken nugget wrapped around cheese and fried, a hugely tempting item that can't possibly be bad.

New items: Chili Mozzarella Cheese Bar and Mozzarella Chicken Bites
I picked the Chili Mozzarella Cheese Bar as a side because it was a new menu item. It has a crunchy coating packed with mozzarella cheese plus a sweet-and-spicy chili sauce, so you keep reaching for more. The Mozzarella Chicken Bites have whole mozzarella inside chicken thigh meat, so when you bite in, the cheese stretches out long, which is fun. Both were absolutely perfect beer snacks.
After eating this much and feeling full, I immediately understood why everyone calls Bas Burger Seongsu a top handmade burger place near Seoulsup. It was a happy meal that left me with the energy to go back out for another Seoulsup walk, haha. It hasn't even been a day since I ate, and I'm already thinking about it and want to eat it again!

If you're looking for a handmade burger in Seongsu or Seoulsup
I was happy with both the food and the atmosphere at Bas Burger Seongsu, so I'll be back whenever I crave a burger. If you're looking for a great handmade burger near Seongsu or Seoulsup, do give it a visit. You won't regret it. If you love handmade burgers or want the romance of a summer night with delicious cold beer, there's no place like Bas Burger Seongsu! I hope you'll try it once.
