A sunny afternoon, and 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch after a Seoulsup outing
I was out for a walk in Seoulsup on a lovely afternoon when I suddenly craved a soufflé, so I headed back to 5to7 (오투칠) Seongsu Main Branch on the Seongsu café street. With the warm sun out, I really wanted something sweet and soft. It had been ages since I'd had a fluffy soufflé that melts in your mouth, and since this place is right on the famous Seongsu café street, I went without a second thought haha.

This time I was determined to enjoy a really good dessert and properly unwind. 5to7 has been on TV, and it's also where I go now and then to recharge, so back I came! It's a Seongsu café, a Seoulsup café, full of atmosphere.

What are the space and atmosphere of 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch like?
5to7 Seongsu Main Branch looks like a converted house, with a 1st floor, a 2nd floor and even a rooftop, and each space has its own charm. By the writer's account it's close to Seoulsup Station, so it's really easy to find. The warm sunlight pouring through the big windows and the green trees outside go so well together, and it was great for taking photos too.

5to7 soufflé wait time and opening hours
Every soufflé at 5to7 is baked the moment you order, so a wait of 15 to 20 minutes is a must. It's very popular, so there may be a queue too. Still, the atmosphere at this Seongsu café is so satisfying that the wait doesn't feel wasted.

Maybe because it was on TV, it's also a famous Seongsu date spot, and there were lots of foreign guests. But there are plenty of staff too, so orders don't pile up, which I really love~

5to7 Seongsu Main Branch is open from 12:00 to 21:00, so keep that in mind when you visit. The menu is varied, too. It doesn't change with every season, but when a trendy dessert comes along, they bring out a new item to match, which I like!

My favorite strawberry soufflé, chosen over the ube soufflé
On this visit ube flavor was trending, so 5to7 had an ube soufflé, and the couple at the next table ordered it haha. I'm a bit of a stick-with-what-I-know person lol. Every time I go, I mostly have the cream soufflés loaded with fruit, and this time too I ordered my favorite, the strawberry soufflé haha.

The combination I ordered didn't disappoint~ After a short wait, the long-awaited dishes arrived. The strawberry soufflé, 5to7's signature, is the one to get, and it's amazing both in looks and taste T_T To add some freshness I ordered a Summer Peach Tea, plus a Dutch iced americano (an "ah-ah" in Korean, iced americano) for a clean flavor.
Because the soufflé is mixed and baked as soon as the order goes in, the hot, fluffy look is the real showstopper. It's piled generously with fresh strawberries and soft whipped cream, and it cheers you up just to look at it.

How does the 5to7 strawberry soufflé taste and feel?
The 5to7 strawberry soufflé melts in your mouth without any heaviness, and there was no eggy smell at all. Add drinks that go well with a sweet dessert and it was a perfect spread. The way it melts is seriously amazing T_T The moment you take a bite, it feels exactly like eating a cloud... I'm so happy....
Unlike an ordinary pancake, it melts away with no heaviness, and the texture was honestly a work of art. There's no eggy smell either, just a mild, subtle egg aroma that spread softly, which I loved.

Add the sweet cream, tangy strawberries and fresh blueberries, and the flavors blended wonderfully.
Pairing with Summer Peach Tea and a Dutch iced americano
The bitterness of the Dutch iced americano and the fragrance of the Summer Peach Tea neatly balanced the sweetness of the strawberry soufflé, so I never got tired of it and kept eating. Thanks to the delicious dessert, my time at this Seongsu café felt extra special! Enjoying a fluffy soufflé while looking at the trees outside the window, I felt my built-up tiredness melt away.

Is 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch a good Seoulsup date spot?
5to7 Seongsu Main Branch is great in both atmosphere and taste, and I plan to visit again next time. If you haven't been yet, I really recommend trying it once~ Highly recommended as a Seoulsup date course too!!!
