Itaewon burger date: original burger and crispy fries, Downtown Burger

Hope everyone is having a refreshing weekend! I'm having a great one. My husband is getting a haircut right now, haha, and I'm blogging!!

Today I'm telling you about a handmade burger place near Itaewon that I loved for a date: Downtown Burger! Simply because it was delicious, it stuck in my memory, haha. I also remember how easy it was to visit, since there are public car parks nearby.

How do you park at Downtown Burger Hannam?

It's fair to say Downtown Burger Hannam has no parking in front, so I recommend using a nearby public car park. Here's the view of the front, haha. I'm not sure if the space belongs to the owner, but it doesn't look like somewhere regular customers can park, hehe. It's not bad, but there's also a hill around here, so I recommend parking in a public car park and walking over.

What are the menu and atmosphere like at Downtown Burger?

You can check the menu before you even go in, and besides burgers they sell beer too, haha. It looks like you can add extra sauces as well. There's quite a variety. Just note that the burgers aren't big!

If you want a place with a good atmosphere for a handmade burger date, where you're in Korea but still get that Itaewon feeling of being abroad, I recommend this place. Downtown Burger, right here!

How do you order at Downtown Burger?

You pay first and get a number ticket; leave it at your table and they bring the food over ^^ I arrived an hour before break time, so maybe that's why it was the busiest moment, haha. Only one seat was left, so I grabbed it quickly and ordered, hahaha!

Unlimited soda

You can drink unlimited soda here, haha. I also saw takeout boxes on one side! While waiting I looked around closely: after ordering you take a drink cup, and there are more kinds than I expected, so it's easy to use, haha. Since it's unlimited, you can drink without feeling awkward, which is nice!!

Choose onion rings, fries or cup salad for your set side

You can order the burgers on their own or as a set, and the set lets you choose onion rings, fries or a cup salad. The menu was handed over nicely so I could look through it slowly, haha. Sadly the cup salad was sold out the day I went, so I chose fries, and they came out hot and crispy. I remember enjoying them a lot, haha.

Self-serve sauce and pickle bar

There's also a self-serve bar where you can take sauces and side items. The space felt hygienic, which made me like it even more. You can choose regular or spicy pickles, which cut the richness and make everything comfortable.

There are several Downtown Burger branches, but the Itaewon-area one is close to my home and easy to get to, and I think it's great for dates, so I'll probably drop by often.

See "original" and "spicy" written there? haha. Personally I found the original cleaner and better, haha. I feel a burger is about enjoying that natural richness, haha. Anyway, eat to your own taste, there's absolutely no pressure!! haha

Free corn salad for writing a review

It says you get a corn salad if you write a review, haha. Since you pay first, keep your receipt and give it a try. I like this kind of event these days, don't you, haha? Enjoying a handmade burger date and feeling it's even richer is another plus for Downtown Burger.

How did the burgers at Downtown Burger taste?

Ta-da, here it is. My husband likes spicy and crispy food, so he chose the crispy chicken burger. I thought the original would be good but wanted to enjoy the taste of the meat, so that's what I picked, and I really liked it, haha. It's not hard to find, and I saw lots of young people plus quite a few families, so yes, this is a proper popular spot!!

I captured it on video too, haha. It's a great place for a date with a faint exotic vibe, so how could I not like it? haha. The fries also came out very hot and nicely crispy, haha. Isn't this why we go around eating handmade burgers, haha?

The sesame-covered bun sets it apart

The bun especially sets Downtown Burger apart from other places. I don't know how to describe it, but it's seriously tasty.. It has a flavor different from just nuttiness, haha. And there's loads of sesame stuck on it, which felt kind of amazing. It isn't big, but it's well filled inside, and because it tastes so good I enjoyed it even more.

Fries that aren't too salty

The fries at Downtown Burger are really good too, haha. Not salty, just tasty, you know? haha. How could I not fall for them!? We chatted away and ate happily, hahaha. Totally satisfied!
