Hanam Misa bakery café: tangy vs nutty brewed coffee, Easy White
In short
Easy White Bread Hanam Misa is a milk bread (saengsikppang) bakery café facing the Mangwolcheon stream walking path in Misa, Hanam, Gyeonggi. The writer drank two cups of the 4,000 won special brewed coffee at Easy White Bread, one nutty and one acidic, and took home a half soboro chestnut chalddeok milk bread (8,000 won) to share with Mom. Both coffees were clean, but the writer slightly preferred the acidic cup for its subtly tangy finish.

I went to Easy White Bread, a Hanam Misa bakery where you can try milk bread (saengsik-ppang) and brewed coffee. The Mangwolcheon stream runs right in front, and the view from the walking path is lovely, so it's a nice spot to stroll after a relaxed cup of coffee and some bread.

What is the atmosphere like at Easy White Bread Hanam Misa?
Just like its name, Easy White Bread is a clean, white space filled with the smell of toasty milk bread and coffee. A really lovely bakery café.

Even the area where they bake the loaves is open to view. The whole bakery feels very clean and modern.

Lots of customers were getting takeout. There aren't many tables, but the stylish, modern interior makes it feel cozy.

The loaves can also be gift wrapped. Just ask the owner and they'll wrap them up nicely.

Easy White Bread puts into practice a baking philosophy built on natural ingredients and honesty about what goes into the food.

The green view outside the window makes it a fresh summer afternoon.

The lights are pretty too. It's so hot outside, so sitting in a cool bakery café waiting for my bread and coffee makes me so, so happy. This is the taste of summer! Isn't this a happiness you can only feel in summer? haha

How is Easy White Bread's milk bread made?
They say the bread is made only with AOP-certified French cultured butter: 0% margarine and vegetable cream, 100% butter and dairy cream.
They also say every loaf is baked and sold the same day. Each day they use generous amounts of good ingredients and ferment three times to build up fine layers.
Half soboro chestnut chalddeok milk bread for 8,000 won, packed for Mom
The half soboro chestnut rice cake loaf is ₩8,000. The owner recommended it as a popular one, so I got it to go for my mom.

I wanted to tear into it right away, but Mom loves milk bread, so your dutiful daughter (?) just had coffee and carried the loaf home with great care.
Special loaves can't be sliced because the fillings inside might fall out. So just tear it by hand and enjoy, haha.

The loaf stays safely packed up.

Mchobery special brewed coffee: how was the nutty cup?
The special brewed coffee at Easy White Bread is ₩4,000. The beans are Mchobery, 70% Ethiopian and 30% Colombian, said to have fruity notes reminiscent of berries and cherries and a lingering sweetness.
Unlike espresso, which is pulled quickly, brewed coffee is made by slowly extracting the beans with water. You can choose an acidic cup or a nutty one, and I went with the nutty one first.

This brewed coffee tastes really clean. It's clear, with a slightly nutty finish and a subtle sweetness.

When the weather is cool, sitting at the outdoor seats with a view of the Mangwolcheon path would be great too.

The owner gave me a bread snack to try. What was it called again? haha

It was toasty, crispy and delicious.

Sipping coffee and spacing out while looking out the window. This midday calm is so nice.

The second cup: how was the acidic brewed coffee?
The brewed coffee at Easy White Bread was so good that I had another cup, this time the acidic one. I love coffee, but one cup a day is just right for me, so two cups is a rarity. Once I started drinking, I wanted more.
The acidic coffee was clean and delicious too, and the subtle tang in the aftertaste was really charming. To my personal taste, the acidic one was a little better.

Sharing the soboro chestnut chalddeok milk bread with Mom at home
Here's the soboro chestnut rice cake loaf I brought home. Wow, it's full of chestnuts! The bread is chewy and soft, and Mom and I really enjoyed it. Now I get why people make such a fuss about milk bread.
The owner was really kind, and both the bread and the brewed coffee were delicious at Easy White Bread, a Hanam Misa bakery.
