Vietnamese restaurant in Jeongja: bún chả with chili and garlic
In short
Kkamon Bundang Jeongja Direct Store is a company-run branch of the Vietnamese pho chain Kkamon, on the ground floor of The Sharp Star Park shopping arcade by Jeongja Station in Seongnam. On their first outing together to Jeongja Station, a couple had bún chả (₩14,000) and Kkamon fried rice for dinner. The best bite was the sauce-soaked pork eaten with lettuce, noodles, chili and garlic as a three-in-one samhap. For a light, clean meal, the bún chả at Kkamon Bundang Jeongja Direct Store is the one to order.

Today is the two of us on our first Jeongja Station food outing! It had been a while since we visited Jeongja Station, and while wondering what to eat, I spotted a pho chain I love, so we went straight to Kkamon Bundang Jeongja Direct Store ✨ The place looks authentically Vietnamese and the staff are locals too, so when you want to really enjoy Vietnamese food, Kkamon!!!!
Where is Kkamon Bundang Jeongja Direct Store, and what about parking?
Kkamon Bundang Jeongja Direct Store is on the ground floor of the shops at The Sharp Star Park apartments by Jeongja Station. It is open daily 10:00-23:00 and offers 2 hours of free parking. Park for free, step outside, and you'll see it right away!
My husband had already been here on his own dime 🍝

Isn't Kkamon's menu board hip already? That lettering alone gives off total good-restaurant vibes ➿ The menu is posted right outside the shop, so you can check it comfortably before heading in.

What are the atmosphere and seating like?
Inside Kkamon Bundang Jeongja Direct Store the decor feels like Vietnam, the staff are local, and there are both a bar table for solo diners and 4-person tables. Ta-da, every bit of the interior makes you want to travel to Vietnam 🇻🇳 With local staff too, you're already looking forward to the food from the moment you order!

Jeongja Station has lots of office workers, and with a bar table that's perfect for eating alone, we plan to come back for a solo weekend meal ✨

Plenty of 4-person tables, so it's good for families or friends too! My family has already visited other Kkamon branches, so I was curious about the Jeongja one, and sure enough the atmosphere, the taste and the reasonable prices make it a great place for a tasty meal. Maybe thanks to the vibe, we chatted about travel and happily tucked in 🇻🇳 The Vietnamese atmosphere makes me want to go to Vietnam so badly, but I'll aim for a trip next year.

There's a bit of everything, from pho to bún chả, fried rice and sandwiches, so let's enjoy it happily 🍽️
What does Kkamon's bún chả (₩14,000) taste like?
The bún chả at Kkamon Bundang Jeongja Direct Store is sauce-soaked pork eaten with thin noodles and lettuce, and it was the dish I enjoyed most that day. This is the bún chả I picked ➿ These days when I come for pho, 60% of the time I get bún chă! It has a different charm from hot pho, and it's great with vegetables when you want something a little lighter.

The pork is soaked in the sauce, so eating it later with the noodles and lettuce is pure honey. More than anything, the meat sauce in the bún chả is the real deal, and it was my favorite!!!! I'd strongly recommend this dish even on a repeat visit, it's that good.

Spicy bún chả samhap with chili and garlic under the lettuce
There were chili and garlic under the lettuce too, so ooh, is this a spicy version for Koreans ⁉️ Anyway, the noodles were thin and nice, and dunking everything in the sauce and eating it with lettuce and meat as a samhap (a three-way combo, like the classic pork, kimchi and oyster trio) was honey-sweet. Pho when you crave hot broth, bún chả when you want something clean, how about that ✨ This is a foodie's menu recommendation.
How was the Kkamon fried rice?
Kkamon fried rice is packed with meat of great texture and the rice is fluffy and separate (the post text lists it at ₩13,000). We'd had jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles) for lunch, so we ordered rice for dinner! It had the Kkamon name on it, so I figured it must be good, hence Kkamon fried rice 🍽️ Thanks to all that nicely textured meat, it was a really delicious fried rice ✨

La-la-la, the rice is fluffy and delicious too, so anyone eating alone at Jeongja Station or wanting a meal, I recommend enjoying everything at Kkamon from pho to fried rice 🍽️ Why? Because fried rice made at home never turns out this fluffy; you have to buy it out to get it properly separate, and I can't tell you how delicious it was!!!!!!!
