Group-dinner Korean BBQ for up to 108 at Mangpo Station: Olheun Gogi

Today was a day out in Mangpo~ If anyone asks me where to find a tasty meat restaurant near Mangpo Station, I'm recommending Olheun Gogi (옳은고기) from now on, no question! They only select premium meat, including pure Australian wagyu (grade 9+), so the quality is seriously impressive, and there are group rooms too, so it feels perfect for a real group dinner. Let me tell you about this really delicious place, Olheun Gogi Suwon Main Branch :)

Where is Olheun Gogi Suwon Main Branch, and what about parking and hours?

Olheun Gogi Suwon Main Branch is at 20 Yeongtong-ro 218beon-gil, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi, on the 1st floor. It's 165m from Exit 6 of Mangpo Station, a 3-minute walk. There's parking for about 4 cars in front of the restaurant.

Hours are every day from 12 PM until 3 AM. It's open late!!!! Crazy, right???

Are there rooms for a group dinner near Mangpo Station?

At the back of Olheun Gogi Suwon Main Branch there are two big rooms, a 12–14 person room and a 30 person room, so you can enjoy a company dinner or a family or club gathering in private. The restaurant itself is pleasant and really spacious, and when I said it'd be great for a group dinner, the staff told me there were separate rooms in the back too!

Seeing the room, I remembered coming here for a company dinner last year or so! This was the Mangpo Station meat place where we ate so well back then.

You can book rooms through Naver or by phone~ Rooms and group bookings are assigned first come, first served, so the bigger your group, the better to book ahead! They also say groups can book the whole place for a minimum of 90 and a maximum of 108 people.

Olheun Gogi menu and set composition

The menu is split into beef and pork, and the most popular items are bundled into the Olheun beef set and the Olheun pork set. Today I ordered the Olheun pork set~ It comes with Hanwoo yukhoe (beef tartare), grilling cheese, a generous steamed egg, and top-grade Hanwoo pork, basically a whole pig's worth of cuts. The lineup is really full, so I think the value is great too.

The basic table setting is white kimchi, myeongi namul (wild garlic pickles), mustard leaf kimchi, pickled cucumber, lettuce geotjeori (fresh-seasoned salad), wasabi, ssamjang (dipping paste), salt, garlic, and some braised... fish? They say the banchan (side dishes) are prepared, pickled, simmered and seasoned by hand every day! The side dishes were good from the start.

The meat in the Olheun pork set is top-grade Hanwoo pork belly, pork neck and loin cap (710g), served with mushrooms and asparagus. The meat looks really good quality~

Staff grill everything from start to finish

And at Olheun Gogi you really only have to eat! Staff grill everything themselves from start to finish, which made it so easy to chat, and they have more than a year of grilling experience, 3–4 years of work here, so they grill the meat really well!!!!!!! (My husband approved.)

Hanwoo yukhoe comes out first so you can eat it while the meat grills~ I thought it was just a small taster, but the portion was quite big. The yukhoe is tasty too ><

The staff grill the meat beautifully~ They even check the grill's temperature as they go, and like true grilling experts, they really do cook meat well.

The set's steamed egg and grilling cheese are a work of art too! The staff grill the cheese along with the meat and hand it to you with the meat wrapped in the cheese, and it's just the best, ugh. People who love grilled cheese will totally fall for it><

And the pork belly, pork neck and loin cap are honestly all delicious.... The meat quality is good, and the staff grilled it so well that I enjoyed it so much. I kept marveling and saying how good it was the whole meal~ I'm definitely coming back to Olheun Gogi!!! I even thought I should push for a company dinner here.

And the kimchi stew, which I only got one photo of.... is delicious too. It's spicy and perfect as a finish. Everything was so good that I really want to recommend it!!!!

Of all the meat places near Mangpo Station, this is one I truly enjoyed!! For pork belly or beef near Mangpo Station, I recommend Olheun Gogi~

Coffee and non-alcoholic beer after the meal at Olheun Gogi Suwon Main Branch

On the way out I noticed Olheun Gogi Suwon Main Branch has coffee ready too~ and they sell non-alcoholic beer! I hear lots of people ask for non-alcoholic options at bars these days, and Olheun Gogi has non-alcoholic beer too.
