The question I always ask myself: should I get one more piercing or not..? hahaha With three earrings/piercings on the left and one on the right, I suddenly wanted another one after a long break, so I went right away on impulse. Yep, Simkung Piercing in Jamsil -!
How to find Simkung Piercing Jamsil
Simkung Piercing Jamsil is easy to find: come out of Jamsil Station Exit 5 and walk through the Jamsil underground shopping arcade. I wasn't sure where it was at first, but if you look for the Paris Baguette in the arcade, you'll get there easily -!
There's a price list posted right outside, which I loved haha. Prices differ by piercing spot, so keep that in mind..!!

Inside Simkung Piercing Jamsil there were sooo many earrings, piercings and necklaces.
There were so many pretty piercings, T_T I seriously couldn't decide. I was dithering so long that other customers got taken in before me, haha. So many I want, how am I supposed to pick just one? hahaha When I make lots of money, I'll come back and stock up on every kind!
The options were really wide, from pure gold and pure silver earrings to surgical steel..! They have necklaces too, so it's a great place to browse even if your ears aren't pierced.
On top of that, the basic earring and piercing line is ₩8,000–₩15,000, so it's sooo easy to pick without worrying about the budget hahaha
Snug or inner conch: which should you get?
According to the Simkung staff, a snug is cartilage and hurts a bit more, and if you wear a big piercing it can be quite painful when you sleep, while an inner conch has no part that gets pressed while sleeping, so you can wear a slightly bigger piercing. So I decided on the inner conch.
++ And the staff here are really kind. Before coming I agonized over whether to get a snug or an inner conch, and when I asked the staff, they explained it like above..! My last piercing was in 2022, so I'd gotten scared by then… hahaha, and decided on the slightly less painful inner conch. For someone like me who loves noticeable, chunky piercings, the inner conch was perfect -!
(For reference, all I've ever had pierced is the earlobe and outer ear..) I'd recommend the snug to people a bit more experienced (?) with piercings..haha
I kept asking questions while choosing, which must have been annoying, but the staff looked at my ear too and helped me pick the piercing's size and shape, and they were sooo kind that I was touched…haha

How much did the inner conch piercing hurt?
The inner conch I got at Simkung Piercing Jamsil hurt even less than my outer ear piercing. While it was going in, it was just like 'Oh, something's going in? A little sting?'
Finally done. And seriously, it hurt less than the outer ear. On that piercing pain chart(?), the inner conch was supposed to hurt more than the outer ear, so it was amazing that it didn't hurt much. They really pierce so painlessly that I want to come back next time for another spot haha (maybe try a snug here next..? haha)
If you're getting pierced in Jamsil, I highly recommend this place. No lie, it really doesn't hurt and there's hardly any swelling. I'm normally a swelling person, so my outer ear puffed up right away, but n hours after this one it still hasn't swollen much, which is so amazing haha
An inner conch spot where AirPods don't catch
Isn't this inner conch so pretty? I was even worried at first that my AirPods would catch on it, but they pierced it in a spot where they don't..! Experts, truly.. You can also adjust the spot in real time while looking in a mirror, which was so nice..!!
Simkung Piercing Jamsil: overall review
The staff were so kind and pierced it painlessly (important), so I loved Simkung Piercing. With so many pretty piercings and earrings, it'd be great to visit just to browse earrings and necklaces even if you're not getting pierced..!!
