Jamsil-saenae has basically become my regular neighborhood now haha. I was out around there and really wanted to play Nintendo, so I went to One Play Jamsil Branch — a manga café near Jamsil-saenae that has everything: Nintendo, board games, manga books, you name it!
Inside One Play Jamsil Branch: two floors, manga, Nintendo and OTT rooms
One Play Jamsil Branch uses the 2nd and 3rd floors as a manga café, and on the 3rd floor you can freely enjoy books, board games, Nintendo, and OTT. The interior has a really Korean atmosphere..!
It was so beautifully decorated I wondered if this was a manga café or an art gallery haha

This is the 3rd floor space. Here you can freely read books or enjoy board games, Nintendo, and even OTT..!! Nintendo and OTT are marked on each room so you just pick one and go in, and board games can be carried into a room. There were even blankets prepared — consideration for people who feel the AC too strongly..
And this staircase decor along the way was so nice too..
The books ranged from old-school Japanese manga to classic comics to webtoons, all kinds of genres, so it satisfies all sorts of fans haha

Just so you know, if you come on a weekday at One Play Jamsil Branch, you can stay all day for ₩10,000! We ordered the Snowflake plan, which gives you 3 hours plus an iced tea or americano.
They were also selling cakes like these. I'm a total dessert fiend.. my eyes lit up right away lol. But can you see how solid all these cake flavors look? T_T
I wanted to eat that pistachio raspberry one down there, but they said it was sold out, so I ordered the cream strawberry instead. For the package drinks, we ordered iced tea and chamomile respectively.
From manga shelves to Overcooked and It Takes Two on the Nintendo
Every room at One Play Jamsil Branch had a Nintendo controller so we could play right away. Our drinks finally arrived, and at first we wanted to warm up with manga books, so we brought some along haha. They had all the currently trending webtoons too, so for someone like me who loves webtoons, it was total heaven..!!
With Nintendo controllers in every room like this, we could play Nintendo..!! At first I wasn't used to Nintendo and had no idea what each button did, but once you get going you adjust right away lol
And what says Nintendo more than anything? Overcooked. There's really no game funnier to play with a friend than this. Even friends who usually think these games are too childish and don't like them said Overcooked was surprisingly fun.
Tip: you can steal food your friend already prepped and sell it lolol
The map keeps shifting around and where you submit the food keeps changing too, so you get so caught up in the chaos that time just flies..lol. Seriously a game where time disappears in a flash..!!
How the fresh cream strawberry cake at One Play Jamsil tasted
One Play Jamsil Branch's cream strawberry cake comes out thawed, so it had a texture a bit like eating ice cream — but that actually worked in its favor. It paired well with the strawberry syrup on top and tasted great!
Next time I come I really want to try the raspberry pistachio T_T
Everything about manga cafés is great, but there are times you really crave a high-impact dessert like this, and it's always a bit of a letdown when they don't have it — but here they sell cakes like this for dessert lovers like us... T_T Even the variety was so good..!!
Final verdict: is One Play Jamsil Branch good for an indoor date?
Manga books, Nintendo, board games, OTT, and even an insane dessert lineup — this manga café near Jamsil-saenae, One Play Jamsil Branch, might genuinely be the strongest option for an indoor date haha. On a hot day, instead of wandering around outside, handling everything here at once is truly the best..!!
This one was fun too. It's a game called It Takes Two, where you and a friend cooperate to clear it together? Once you get used to the controls at first, it genuinely gets really fun lol. Highly recommend. No need to go to a separate PlayStation room anymore since you can now do Nintendo right at the manga café too haha. Next time I want to play Overcooked again, I'll have to come back.
