Uni sweet shrimp and beef belly tamago at Gangnam sushi: Sushi Ian N
In short
Sushi Ian N Seolleung Station is a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant in Gangnam, Seoul where every plate is a flat 1,990 won. On a tenth visit, at 5pm on a weekday, the plates picked were beef tartare tataki, sea urchin with sweet shrimp, salmon yuzu, and two from the premium gourmet line — beef belly (woo-samgyeop) tamago and salmon torro chip. Because even the gourmet sushi costs the same 1,990 won, Sushi Ian N Seolleung Station is worth returning to whenever a sushi craving hits.

As a genuine sushi lover, I'm not exaggerating when I say I've been to Sushi Ian N near Seolleung Station more than ten times. Every branch I've tried has always satisfied me. This time I was craving sushi again, so off I went to Sushi Ian N Seolleung Station-!
Inside Sushi Ian N Seolleung Station and its waiting area
Sushi Ian N Seolleung Station is a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant on the 2nd floor of the building at 10 Seolleung-ro 86-gil. Even though I went on a weekday at 5pm, it was really packed-!

Sushi Ian N Seolleung Station is always this busy — I even remember waiting on weekends..! That just shows how popular this Daechi-dong sushi restaurant is, haha.

These wide seats are great for waiting, and they even have phone chargers..!! Nice touch 👍👍 There's also space to hang coats or set down bags, which I really appreciated. Definitely lives up to being a Seolleung Station favorite.
The Sushi Ian N menu: every plate 1,990 won
The best thing about Sushi Ian N is the flat ₩1,990 price..!! At other conveyor-belt sushi places you have to keep an eye on plate colors, but here every single plate is ₩1,990, which I love..!

I'm not sure if this is only at the Seolleung branch, but they have a premium gourmet sushi series..!! Red seabream caviar sushi, truffle flounder onigiri sushi, engawa caviar sushi — all of it for ₩1,990..! The value is insane 🫶
This is the basic sushi line. From sashimi sushi to my beloved beef tartare sushi, gunkan, rolls and more — there's such a wide variety that even someone who can't eat raw fish would have plenty to choose from-! I love that you can just pick whatever sushi you want, haha.

The basic setup lets you help yourself to as much wasabi, soy sauce, pickled radish, and pickled ginger as you want, plus one miso soup per person. I really love that it's fresh wasabi here, haha. Fresh wasabi = good restaurant.
First plates: beef tartare tataki and uni with sweet shrimp
The first sushi I grabbed at Sushi Ian N Seolleung Station. Beef tartare tataki sushi is a must-order here — I feel like I come to Sushi Ian N whenever I crave beef tartare sushi..?

The sear on the tataki was perfect, and that sauce on top was absolutely delicious..!!

This one is the sea urchin sweet shrimp sushi, and how is this only ₩1,990.. The sweet shrimp was nicely sweet and delicious, and best of all you could really taste the rich, dense flavor of the uni!! Highly recommend this one too, great as a starting dish.

My beloved beef tartare tataki. You have to try this one.

My second love, salmon beef tartare tataki. Salmon is wrapped around the bottom with seared beef tartare on top. There's also a regular salmon-beef roll besides this one, so you can pick according to your taste. The sauce on top of the salmon beef tartare tataki was also incredibly good, plus that smoky char flavor..!!

Flounder engawa and salmon yuzu sushi
I also ordered the flounder engawa sushi and the salmon yuzu sushi. I love yuzu aroma, and pairing yuzu with salmon..!! The fresh, citrusy scent paired so well with the salmon..!! Tastes even better than regular salmon, haha.

The flounder engawa also had a nice chewy texture and was so delicious, haha.

A bite with a bit of fresh wasabi added.

Gourmet line picks: beef belly tamago and salmon torro chip
From the gourmet sushi line, I ordered the woo-samgyeop (beef short rib) tamago sushi-!! I thought I'd only get one piece with beef short rib on top, but they gave me two pieces..!! Such great value. The beef short rib and soft egg go really well together..!! Perfect for a protein boost, haha. This single plate was genuinely filling.

Next I tried the salmon torro chip sushi. Wow, the fattiness of the salmon was insane.. it melted in my mouth. This one is also from the gourmet sushi line, and I recommend it..! Had my beloved salmon yuzu sushi one more time too.. but wait, what's going on with the color of the salmon here?

The salmon garlic steak sushi was also so good..!! Garlic chips plus sauce on top of seared salmon tartare — ⭐️ those garlic chips are the real kicker ⭐️ The crispy texture was insane, ugh.

Went for the shrimp line once more too. That one on top is the bacon-wrapped shrimp roll, and it was delicious too..!!

Egg sushi topped with cheese. This place does a lot of variations on egg sushi (cheese egg, egg-shrimp sushi, etc.) and they're all really delicious. The cheese sauce on top of this one was ridiculously good...

The beef tartare sushi here is genuinely delicious too...!!!

Finishing with seasonal fruit and green tea
Of course, you finish with fruit, haha. I heard melon was the seasonal summer fruit, so I quickly grabbed one.

I picked up melon and orange, and they were sweet and refreshing, perfect for cleansing the palate..!! I feel like I always end my Sushi Ian N visits with fruit, haha.

And here, if you ask, they'll give you green tea, which is genuinely delicious..!! Great for refreshing your palate between bites of sushi, or as a finishing touch after the meal, ugh. Even though I'm not much of a tea drinker, this was so good I drank every drop...
Is Sushi Ian N Seolleung Station worth a tenth visit?
Sushi Ian N Seolleung Station is a place I keep coming back to whenever I crave sushi.. There's such a wide variety of sushi, and I loved that even the gourmet sushi line is ₩1,990..! I realized this Daechi-dong favorite isn't packed on weekdays for no reason. If you're craving sushi in Daechi-dong or near Seolleung Station, I highly recommend Sushi Ian N Seolleung Station.

I always end up going past ten plates, haha.
