What is Songnim Bok eel buffet in Gojan-dong, Ansan?
Songnim Bok Jangeo Freshwater Eel All-You-Can-Eat Ansan City Hall Direct Store (송림복장어 민물장어 무한리필 안산시청 직영점) is a grilled eel restaurant in Gojan-dong, Ansan, where you can eat fresh freshwater eel all you can eat. It's the place I saw on the YouTuber Yasaengma TV! Wait, there's an all-you-can-eat eel place in Ansan too?! Yay! I'm more of a fish person than a meat person, so eel never feels greasy to me, and today I'm going to demolish it. Hehe :)
For a second I couldn't remember who the two people in Yasaengma were, and I got pretty bitter about my fading memory lately. Let's eat eel and get smarter, hahaha

Songnim Bok's Ansan City Hall branch has an interior and atmosphere that's way too nice for an all-you-can-eat eel place. It's quite spacious all the way to the back, with plenty of tables for groups. Maybe that's why, even though we came at 12 on a weekend, a group of older folks was already having an eel-eating party! Wow, so quick! Nice!
Songnim Bok says that "at an eel restaurant, the eel has to taste good," so they prep live eel every morning from farms and direct markets. That's why you can trust it! In this era of high prices, being able to eat eel all you can eat is just so touching! Everyone in Ansan who loves eel, gather here!! Hahaha
Songnim Bok all-you-can-eat price and time limit
The all-you-can-eat is ₩29,900 for adults and ₩14,000 for children (elementary school), plus a separate table setting fee of ₩3,000 per person (children excluded). The time limit for the eel buffet is 2 hours! That's plenty, right!
- All-you-can-eat, adult: ₩29,900
- All-you-can-eat, child (elementary school): ₩14,000
- Table setting fee: ₩3,000 per person (children excluded)
- Time limit: 2 hours
They also sell takeout, and you can take the eel home pre-grilled.

What's at the Songnim Bok self-serve bar?
At the Songnim Bok self-bar you can take freshwater eel, pork belly, chicken neck, side dishes, sauces, vegetables, and even fried eggs! Take as much as you like.
Going out for eel as a family usually hurts the wallet, but even a family of four comes to about ₩30,000 per person, so you can eat really generously. I think it's the best value, too.

Table setup for two and the free bokbunja wine
When two of you order the all-you-can-eat eel at Songnim Bok, they set the table with basic side dishes plus eel, pork belly and chicken neck, and on top of that they give you bokbunja wine as a free service. That's the cheat code! Amazing, right?! Hahaha It was the middle of the day so only I had a glass, and wow, so sweet, so good! Really delicious!
Freshwater eel tastes best grilled over charcoal, of course! We're sitting in front of a hot fire, yet the air conditioning is blasting!! Wow, it's so cool even right in front of the eel grill, hahaha

For ₩29,900 plus the ₩3,000 per person table setting fee (children excluded), you can eat as much as you like of not only fresh freshwater eel but also thick-cut pork belly and chicken neck. Since eel is a summer stamina food, there were lots of people from early on the weekend. With an all-you-can-eat eel place now open in Gojan-dong, Ansan, I bet a lot of people will come for company dinners as well as family gatherings.
Even just two plump eels usually cost around ₩60,000 per kilo, and here I can grill as much as I want?! Hehehe yay! I was seriously planning to wreck this place today. Hahaha Grill up nicely~ poof!
There aren't many all-you-can-eat eel places in Ansan, so I couldn't be happier to find this one~ And with pork belly and chicken neck on top! That's totally a team dinner spot!

How good is the charcoal-grilled eel at Songnim Bok?
The eel at Songnim Bok was very plump with no smell at all, and the fat was just right, so it wasn't greasy and was really nutty and savory~ The restaurant actually has instructions on how to grill eel well, but the two of us are both terrible at grilling meat, sob. As you probably know, I'm good at eating. Hahaha I eat it fine even burnt, and even better when it's grilled well! Hehe

Grilled until crispy outside and juicy inside, the eel is great just dipped in sauce, and wrapped with vegetables and ginger, wow! Insanely good, right? I guess that's why people come for eel from the morning~

And they even gave us a bottle of bokbunja wine, a perfect match for eel. It was daytime so only I had a glass, and wow, it was so sweet that the eel never had time to feel greasy. It was so good. Right now at Songnim Bok's City Hall branch, if you order the all-you-can-eat eel, you get a bottle of bokbunja wine as a free service!

How much eel can two people eat in 2 hours?
At Songnim Bok, the two of us brought back heaping plates of eel and grilled it twice. We grilled like crazy, wrapped, dipped in sauce, and ate in a total frenzy. All-you-can-eat eel in two hours is totally doable! Keep the eel on the charcoal at all times, keep your hands busy grilling, and let your mouth keep going without a break, haha
Honestly I could have eaten more, hahaha, but after getting two heaping plates of eel and grilling them, I was stuffed;;

I bet the meat-grilling gods would grill it to absolute perfection at an all-you-can-eat eel place! More groups of men come than you'd think, too. Boost your stamina with eel and beat the heat without any pressure. The owner of Songnim Bok's City Hall branch is very kind, and above all the eel is meaty and really good, so even just grilled it's savory and clean-tasting, and I never felt it was greasy!
Finishing a rainy day with Songnim Bok's eel soup
Songnim Bok's eel soup (jangeotang) was the most savory and clean-tasting eel soup I've had, yet it was incredibly rich! I ordered it because a bowl of hot eel soup like a dessert makes the meal feel more complete, and the hot, nutty aroma was amazing! The broth is so rich that I feel like this alone is worth several eels, hahaha
Since it rained that day, finishing with eel soup was just perfect! Songnim Bok, newly opened in Gojan-dong, Ansan, may already be known to the foodies. People who know it from the YouTuber Yasaengma TV all seemed to know it already. It's a place worth visiting for all-you-can-eat eel in Gojan-dong, Ansan. I should go again before it gets even more crowded!
