Yeoksam Japanese restaurant date: kelp-cured salmon bowl at Chisot
Chisot Yeoksam Main Branch is a hitsumabushi and sake-don specialist on the first floor of a building on Bongeunsa-ro 30-gil, near Yeoksam Station in Gangnam, Seoul. Visiting with her boyfriend, the writer ordered the mini hitsumabushi set and a sake-don, and the konbujime (kelp-cured) salmon was so springy that her salmon-loving boyfriend gave it a thumbs up. With chawanmushi, a rice-and-ochazuke refill bar and seating from solo spots to group tables, Chisot works for a date or a meal with parents.
