Namhae Mulgogi is a sashimi restaurant specializing in aged fish near Beomgye Station, on Pyeongchon-daero 223beon-gil in Anyang. Three friends ordered the kelp-aged sashimi set for three, which runs from pre-meal porridge through sushi, cooked fish, fried dishes and hot pot, and the soft aged sashimi, with no chewy bites at all, was the standout. For dinner with drinks or a group dinner near Beomgye, Namhae Mulgogi is an easy recommendation.

Beomgye fish cake bar for round-two soju in Anyang: Cheolgil Busanjip

Cheolgil Busanjip Beomgye Branch is an oden bar (fish cake bar) in the Beomgye area of Anyang, Gyeonggi, where the fish cakes simmer in a pot right at your table. Three of us got through five bottles of Daesun, the Busan soju, plus five orders of mochiri tofu and a fish cake platter with mul-tteok (rice cake skewer) in it. For a second-round bar in Beomgye, the hot broth and mochiri tofu at Cheolgil Busanjip make it the kind of place you keep coming back to.
