Uiwang outlet café for a heat-wave break with mom: Jeong Jiyoung
In short
Jeong Jiyoung Coffee Roasters Lotte Premium Outlet Uiwang Branch is a two-story coffee shop with floor-to-ceiling windows, tucked behind the 3rd floor of Lotte Premium Outlet Uiwang on Barasan-ro in Uiwang, Gyeonggi. Escaping a heat wave with mom, the writer shared an iced americano with no acidity and a sweet iced coconut coffee, and both revived them after the heat. Jeong Jiyoung Coffee Roasters, Lotte Outlet Uiwang branch

Escaping the heat wave at Lotte Premium Outlet Uiwang
My mom and I go to Lotte Outlet Uiwang pretty often, but this was my first time actually visiting Jeong Jiyoung Coffee Roasters among all the coffee shops there 🤍 I remembered going once with a friend to their location in Haenggung-dong, and when I found out there's a branch here at Lotte Premium Outlet Uiwang too, I hopped right over to check it out.
With this endless heat wave making outdoor life basically impossible, we headed to Lotte Premium Outlet Uiwang instead. We figured we'd go browse a mall blasting the AC, check out everything from the top floor down, and then grab some coffee.

How to find Jeong Jiyoung Coffee Roasters in Lotte Premium Outlet Uiwang
It's tucked behind the buildings so it might be a little hard to find. You can take the escalator up from the Outback inside the building, or head outside among these house-shaped buildings — there's another building hidden behind them that's hard to spot, but if you just keep walking back, you'll find it!! (⚠️ warning: it's hot)

Merch and interior at Jeong Jiyoung Coffee Roasters Uiwang
Jeong Jiyoung Coffee Roasters' merch was on display too — different coffee types, cups in various colors, some kind of pen or pencil, instant coffee, stickers, T-shirts!! They were even selling Lego. I remember the Haenggung-dong location having a lot to look at too, and this one had a nice little display too, so it was fun to browse. (Didn't buy anything though….lol)
The store looked spacious and pleasant, a two-story building with floor-to-ceiling windows. Most of the seating is on the 2nd floor, so you order downstairs and then head up to grab a seat. (Actually, you should grab a seat first. Even on a weekday afternoon it was completely full, so there wasn't much room to spare…..)

Desserts: fruit cake and sandwich cookies
The dessert lineup was decent too, with fruit cake and sando among the options! There was also choco and strawberry milk. And they even had something like a Pororo drink for kids. (I usually go for cake over bread with my coffee, so this was right up my alley lol)
I don't normally eat bread or chocolate much, but when I'm drinking coffee I do like sharing a slice of cake. We had to go straight to lunch after coffee though, so we just stuck to drinks today.

Is the 2nd floor busy on a weekday afternoon?
We went up to the 2nd floor and grabbed a seat lol. The 1st floor only had 3 tables, and everyone upstairs was seated too — I guess even on a weekday, the heat had everyone taking refuge at the outlet. There was exactly one seat left and we snagged it!!
You have to climb this long staircase to get seated, and since my mom's knees aren't great, the stairs were honestly a bit rough. But it was so hot we had no energy to go anywhere else. So we just haha sat down~

While drinking coffee we ended up booking our trip accommodations and flights on the spot. But maybe because the AC here was blasting so hard, even though I'd brought a long-sleeve shirt and put it on, I ended up sneezing and walking out with my nose running like crazy. My weird constitution of catching colds on hot days struck again ㅠ ugh…………..
In the end, we ended up going with Da Nang as my first overseas trip since getting pregnant — easy choice, got massages, rested, ate good food, got nails done, got my hair done lol, just relaxed and came back. No lie, I spent two straight hours here just staring at my phone searching Agoda for a place to stay ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ I think I ended up catching aircon sickness from it all….

How do the iced americano and iced coconut coffee taste?
I got an iced americano, and my mom got a coconut coffee ice. (We usually order two and split them.) The americano was delicious, exactly the kind of non-sour coffee I like. I'm not a fan of coffee with acidity, so this was so good lol
The coconut coffee was so sweet ㅠ maybe it was the heat, but it was genuinely delicious and sweet enough that my exhausted, heat-worn body felt like it was recovering..❤️🩹 (?) lol lol

Heat wave, please just disappear already.
Jeong Jiyoung Coffee Roasters somehow has clean interior design and good coffee, so I plan to come back again!!!
