Songdo café with 3+1 salt bread takeaway: Cafe Cozy Bear
In short
Cafe Cozy Bear Salt Bread Bakery Songdo Hagwonga Branch is a salt-bread bakery café in Yeonsu, Incheon. I picked up freshly baked salt bread and coffee at lunchtime, ate some in the park, and tried the rest at home. A new salt-bread café in Songdo Hagwonga
I end up in Songdo Hagwonga often! These days, I think I come to this side more often than the Korea Coast Guard area. There are so many pretty, delicious places here—so happy~~
I went on a cool day ❤️❤️ It’s the new café, Cafe Cozy Bear Salt Bread Bakery Songdo Hagwonga Branch~ Word has started spreading around the neighborhood that it’s a great salt-bread bakery, so I went over on the weekend!

They said you can watch the baking in-store and buy salt bread fresh from the oven, and this salt-bread lover simply could not resist!!

I had kind of expected it from the name, but an adorable little bear welcomes you, haha. The bear carrying loads of salt bread seems to be Cafe Cozy Bear’s character and merchandise—so cute haha. I even caught it in a clip ❤️

A little bear holding a salt bread as big as itself, haha.

When does the salt bread come out?
Salt bread comes out twice a day: 09:00 / 14:00. Keep that in mind! I visited around lunchtime, but there may be fewer breads right before the next batch comes out~~

They’re running a 3+1 opening event. Buy three salt breads and get one more!!

There are outdoor seats too, so it looked perfect for weather like this. Coffee and salt bread outdoors—what could be better~~

They say they use ingredients made with domestically grown red beans that they cook themselves. The sign saying they care as much about coffee as salt bread was both cute and memorable, haha. I was only going to buy bread, but I bought coffee too haha.

Coffee and café atmosphere
There are lots of coffee options, and decaf is available too 😍😍 With ade, tea, strawberry milk, chocolate milk, and more, I think lots of families and couples came by on the weekend.

Such a pretty, modern café atmosphere~ The overall ivory-and-brown palette feels quite upscale!

I was getting takeaway, so I didn’t get to use the café, but it really made me want to sit in next time!

Salt bread varieties available during my visit
These were the salt breads available when I visited! They had plenty of varieties: plain, potato, red bean butter, pollock roe, and castella~~

A boxed set that would be great when buying a lot or giving them as a gift!

I use Président butter for my baby’s weaning meals too, so hearing they use that expensive, good butter here... do they have any left over for meee~~? Haha, that’s why the salt bread has no choice but to be delicious. A great salt-bread spot made with Président butter, Guérande sea salt, and premium flour!

I bought a set of coffee and salt bread. My husband and I each needed one bread, haha.

They even packed it in cute little-bear wrapping~~
Park takeaway and salt bread at home
There’s a small park with a fountain and walking paths around Songdo Hagwonga. Since it was autumn, the trees were starting to change color, and it was so nice to sit and spend time in this park! Delicious salt bread is a special treat that adds even more happiness~~

I ate the remaining salt bread when I got home. You can see the large crystals of salt dotted throughout, but it wasn’t overly salty or harsh—just delicious salt!! The all-important salt in salt bread! 🧂

Take a bite and it’s fluffy, with butter deeply soaked into the bread. That delicious Président butter flavor~~ The inside is moist and the outside is crisp! That’s why I liked it even more.

A soft, delicious classic salt bread, perhaps because it has just the right little air pockets throughout! It wasn’t excessive or heavy, so it was great for breakfast or as dessert after a meal~~ I ate so much salt bread when I was pregnant, haha. It’s really hard to quit salt bread!! I can’t even imagine how much better it would be fresh from the oven... Next time, I’m going to try visiting right when the bread comes out!
