Two baby meals a day meant we needed a cooler bag for outings

We’re a couple raising a 7-month-old, six weeks into gradually starting early-stage baby food. There isn’t a single day we stay quietly at home, so we head out every single day. When baby was eating just one meal a day, we could time it right and feed them at home, so there was no need to bring food out. But since starting two meals a day, there are often days when one meal ends up being outside :) That’s when this baby food cooler bag comes in so handy. If you started at six months old, I recommend looking into one and keeping one ready in advance! You suddenly find yourself needing it.

We have four cooler bags at home! But when it came to using them as a baby food cooler bag... they were all a bit awkward.

One is for camping, so although it’s big, it’s way too big. Two came as sets with diaper bags, and even though their capacity is small, they were just... too small; Later, once we start toddler meals and can eat out with the adults at restaurants, they might work as bags for carrying snacks. But perhaps because we’re gradually using more cubes, they felt smallㅠ And the remaining one seemed to have weak cooling; in weather as hot as it’s been lately, everything had melted quite a bit, so I felt uneasy and couldn’t use it ㅠ_ㅠ

This isn’t food for an adult—it’s for a baby—so you really need to choose one with seriously solid cooling. And so! This is the ODDBBI one we’ve settled on. The design is pretty, it has divided sections... and there were lots of advantages, which I’ll tell you about below.

Storage that separates porridge and cubes

I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a mini baby food cooler bag, too: it’s easy to carry, has divided storage sections, and holds a surprising amount. Good!

There’s storage in the lid, and storage on both sides inside, so I keep a spoon in there. Then I use the divider to separate things like porridge + purée / cubes.

The maximum capacity is more than six 500 ml beer cans. Roomy, right? I’m using it as a baby food cooler bag now, but later, for nearby outings or picnics, I’m thinking of using it as an adult bag for Mom’s beer and Dad’s cola, haha. It’s not that tiny-tiny, but it was a nice size and easy to carry, so I put “mini” in the title.

I tucked the tiny little hair clip that’s easy to lose into the small compartment in the lid. Isn’t this French-fry hair clip so cute? Ahhh, kawaiiㅠㅠㅠ Everything for babies is cute..

Holographic design and strap use

The bag itself has handles, so you can carry it as a tote. A strap comes with delivery, so you can also use it as a shoulder bag or crossbody. I even attached this strap to the stroller.

The mini baby food cooler bag itself has handles, but when you’re raising a baby, your hands aren’t free, so I loved that it came with a crossbody strap like this. I think it would be great to wear on the shoulder or across the body with the strap, but so far I’ve only used it attached to the stroller.

The interior divider is removable! If you need to fit in a large lunch box and use the space wide open, just remove the divider :)

It has quite a lot of pockets, so I’m thinking it could also be useful to separate and store wet wipes, sanitizing gel, a phone, wallet, toys, a Tulip sound book, things like that! A baby food cooler bag doesn’t have to hold only food~

Beyond baby food: lunch boxes and outings

We used it this way because we’re raising a baby, but I thought it would be great in all sorts of situations: for office workers and students carrying packed lunches, people doing meal prep while following a diet, camping, golf rounds, picnics, hiking, and more. So when the autumn mornings start getting cooler, I’m thinking we should bring it along on a hike :) We’re preparing hiking content with baby.
