The basic table at Deodo Gejang came with kimchi jjim (braised kimchi), kimchi jeon (kimchi pancake), seasoned bean sprouts, oi tangtangi (smashed cucumber salad), potato salad, dried seaweed, braised fish, miyeokguk (seaweed soup), crab doenjang jjigae and more.

There were more side dishes than I expected, but they were so good that I ate almost all of them. haha

How did the marinated seafood and pot rice taste?

The sweet, salty flavor of the gejang and the nutritious pot rice at Deodo Gejang went together really well. The texture was springy with a deep savory flavor, and it was so good I finished a whole bowl of pot rice in no time.

Maybe because the soy sauce is made without any artificial seasoning, there was no muddy taste at all. I liked that I could really taste the natural flavor of the seafood, like yellow crab, octopus, peeled shrimp and abalone.

Which gatherings is Deodo Gejang best for?

I ordered the assorted jang and pot rice at Deodo Gejang, and I liked that the side dishes came out so generously. I think it would be great for family meals, company dinners, group gatherings and couples' date meals.

The restaurant is spacious and has plenty of parking, so I recommend it as a place for group gatherings.
