I was meeting a friend in Gwangalli after a long time, and what popped into my head before the food was parking.

Every time I go to Gwangalli I feel great, but on weekends I have to hunt for a place to park, so I end up checking my map app several times before I even leave. This time too, I had already picked a great brunch café in Gwangalli, but where to park was the biggest worry.

Last time I remember circling the area a few times, so this time I searched for Millak-dong parking lots first. That's when I spotted the newly opened Millak Public Parking Lot and thought, "This could work." It was a weekend, so I wondered if there'd really be space, but it turned out to be big and I felt much more relaxed. Once I'd parked, it finally felt like I was properly out for a day with my friend.

Millak Public Parking Lot in Gwangalli: weekend fees and hours
The Millak Public Parking Lot is open 24 hours, and the posted rate for regular cars was ₩300 per 10 minutes, up to ₩8,000 per day. It officially opened in June 2026 and has over 300 spaces, so it felt far roomier than the Gwangalli parking I remembered.
When parking is iffy, I tend to want to change the meeting place altogether. My friend just said, "Let's go," but I checked everything one by one: where the Millak-dong lot is, the fee, and how long the walk takes.

Do LPG and eco-friendly cars get 50% off at Millak Public Parking Lot?
Being a gas car doesn't automatically mean half price. I learned that 50% off applies to eligible vehicles, such as those with an eco-friendly car mark, if you have the proof. We checked on site once more whether our car qualified. It's most accurate to read the signboard when you visit.
What are the space and seating like at Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch?
At Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch you order on the 1st floor and find a seat upstairs. The space was bigger and brighter than I expected, so even on a weekend it didn't feel stuffy. With the car parked without stress, it was full chatting mode from here on, and Famous Benny matched the vibe of the Gwangalli brunch café I'd been looking for.

It's a nice atmosphere for sitting and talking with a friend you haven't seen in ages, and we chatted for ages even while choosing the menu. If you hesitate about meeting in Gwangalli because of parking, I think deciding on the Millak-dong parking lot first makes everything much easier. Thanks to the Millak Public Parking Lot, I felt lighter from the very start that day.
What we ate at Famous Benny: two brunch dishes, an Americano and yogurt
At Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch, my friend and I ordered two brunch dishes, one each, shared them, and added an Americano and yogurt. It felt like getting a meal and café time in one place. That's the nice thing about going with a friend: you each order one dish and share, right?

When I pick a brunch café in Gwangalli, I look at whether the food is filling as a meal as much as whether the space is pretty. Sharing two dishes with my friend at Famous Benny, the amount was just right.

We took photos while eating, took another bite while talking, and the weekend afternoon passed quite leisurely.
Can you park at Millak Public Parking Lot and walk to Gwangalli Beach?
That day, we could leave the car at the Millak Public Parking Lot and go from Famous Benny brunch to a walk toward the Gwangalli sea without moving it. When you search for a Millak-dong parking lot, it's annoying if it's too far from the restaurant and you have to move the car again, but that didn't happen.
After brunch we didn't want to go straight home, so we walked around the area a bit with my friend. What's nice about Gwangalli is that after eating you can keep going toward the sea.

On weekends, even a big lot can change depending on the time of day, so rather than assuming there will always be space, it's best to check once before you arrive. Still, compared with my memories of circling a few small lots looking for a spot, this day was far easier.
A long-overdue Gwangalli brunch with a friend
What I remember most from that day isn't only the food at Famous Benny, but that the Millak Public Parking Lot let me finish worrying about parking quickly and spend relaxed time with my friend.

I love meeting in Gwangalli, but the thought of bringing a car always felt a bit heavy. This time it felt different.

If you're looking for a brunch café in Gwangalli and worrying about parking too, I'd say don't just search the restaurant; look up the Millak-area parking lots in advance as well. Not being worn out by parking before you even eat matters more than you'd think.
If you head to Gwangalli by car on a weekend like we did, checking a big public lot like the Millak Public Parking Lot first and then having a slow brunch at Famous Benny was a good plan. Next time we've decided to meet a bit earlier and take a long walk along the sea.
